In this thesis,the Chinese Specifications for Design and Construction of Highway Steel-concrete Composite Bridge(JTG/T D64-01-2015)and Code for design of steel and concrete composite bridges(GB 50917-2013),the 8th American AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the Eurocode 4:Design of Composite Steel and Concrete Structures are compared,analyzed and studied comprehensively mainly from the following six aspects:1)Comparison of design criteria and limit state classification among Chinese,American and European codes.This thesis compares the basic design criteria and the division of limit states among Chinese,American and European codes.The differences in bridge design reference period,design safety level,reliability index and target reliability are also analyzed.2)Comparison of material characteristics among Chinese,American and European codes.Regarding the common materials of steel-concrete composite bridge which are concrete,steel,common reinforcement and prestressed reinforcement,the material grade,material strength,design value and physical performance index among Chinese,American and European codes are compared.3)Comparison of design loads and load combinations among Chinese,American and European codes.The load classification,load combination,vehicle load(including load mode,fatigue load,transverse distribution coefficient,etc.),temperature gradient and other relevant regulations that need to be considered in the design of composite beam bridge among Chinese,American and European codes are compared and analyzed.4)Comparative analysis on ultimate limit states among Chinese,American and European codes.This thesis compares and analyzes the relevant provisions concerning the ultimate limit states of composite beam bridges among Chinese,American and European codes.The design expression of ultimate limit states,effective width of composite beam flange,section classification,flexural capacity,shear capacity,lateral torsional stability and shear connector are considered.5)Comparative analysis on serviceability limit states among Chinese,American and European codes.This thesis compares and analyzes the relevant provisions concerning the serviceability limit states of composite beam bridges among Chinese,American and European codes.The design expression of serviceability limit states,provisions of stress calculation and stress limit values,deflection calculation methods and deflection limit values,crack resistance checking calculation and cracking control methods are discussed.6)Calculation of engineering examples and comparative analysis of redundancy.Based on engineering examples,Midas models of steel-concrete composite simple-supported beam bridges and continuous beam bridges are built according to the Chinese,American and European codes.The load effects,flexural capacity,shear capacity and relevant provisions of the serviceability limit state are analyzed and the bending redundancy,shear redundancy and deformation redundancy among Chinese,American and European codes are compared.
