With the development of economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,the level of urban motorization has entered a stage of rapid development,and the demand for travel has increased dramatically.This phenomenon has caused greater pressure on the urban road network.The number of traffic accidents has increased year by year,and urban traffic has become more and more congested.Vehicle exhaust emissions have further affected the city’s air quality.In order to alleviate the traffic congestion,the state has introduced some policies to restrict the travel of motor vehicles and vigorously develop public transportation.During this period,major cities have successively built new subway rail transit.At present,40 cities have opened subway operating lines in China.In addition,green transportation with the goal of low energy consumption,environmental protection and health has also emerged.Advocating low-carbon travel has gradually become the consensus of countries around the world.Therefore,the supporting of chronic systems such as bicycle infrastructure has become an important part of urban planning and construction.Bicycles have become more and more popular due to their mobility,environmental protection,and other advantages.They have solved the need for people to connect to other public transportation modes and short-distance trips for leisure and entertainment.In terms of subway and bicycle research,there have been a lot of researches,but little research has been done on the interaction mechanism between them.Based on this,this paper mainly analyzes the influence of the abnormal subway operation states on the travel characteristics of public bicycle stations from a microscopic perspective,so as to provide a theoretical basis for future urban planning and the layout of public bicycle stations.This paper first reviews and summarizes the relevant literature.Secondly,introducing the construction status of the rail transit system and the London cycle hire system,including the distribution of lines and stations,operating time and ticket prices.Then,data extraction was carried out from the three aspects of abnormal status of subway operation,data of public bike rental and relevant covariables to establish the data set needed for the analysis of this paper.Then,according to the characteristics and research purposes of the data set,the panel data model is analyzed and studied.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of several models,the correlated random effect model is finally determined to be used for analysis.Finally,this model is used to evaluate the changes in the bike travel characteristics of the surrounding public bike rental stations when the abnormal tube operation status occurs,including the influence on travel volume and travel time.In order to analyze the influence of abnormal state accurately,the data of public bike trips are divided into the departure and arrival trips of the stations,and the study period is divided into four periods: morning peak,evening peak,evening peak and weekend.Furthermore,the data is classified based on the length of travel time to study the difference in the impact of abnormal conditions on long-distance and short-distance travel.The research results of this paper include: introducing the current status of the London Underground and London cycle hire,and summarized the real-time tube operation status data,public bicycle rental data and other related covariates data;The static panel data model is analyzed and compared.The correlated random effect model is used to analyze the influence of abnormal tube operation status on surrounding public bike trips.The results show that tube station closure often leads to a decrease in the number of public bike trips and an increase in the average travel time of 7-11 minutes.When severe delays occur,it will lead to an increase in bike travel during the morning peak and a decrease in travel during the evening peak.The Suspended has little effect on bicycle travel.In addition,short trips less than 20 minutes were significantly reduced when abnormal conditions occurred,while long trips greater than 20 minutes increased.
