At present,compound pavement with asphalt mixture as a surface layer is generally applied to tunnel pavement in China.Compared with cement concrete,black asphalt mixture being used tunnel pavement causes the problems of endangering driving safety and increasing energy consumption.Nevertheless,these problems can be remedied by light-colored pavement materials.In this paper,starting from the intersection of tunnel pavement materials and tunnel lighting,broken stalinite and light-colored stones were selected to systematically conduct the design of the composition of the tunnel light-colored pavement materials and the evaluation of road performance and energy-saving effects,and the preferred scheme for the application of mixed bright-colored pavement materials to tunnel pavement was proposed.Firstly,taking AC-13 type’s SBS modified asphalt mixture as the carrier,using cement as anti-stripping agent of asphalt mixture with glass aggregate,broken stalinite and light-colored stone with different contents and different grain diameters were used to replace the aggregates of corresponding particle size,aiming to design the bright color pavement materials of various blending schemes.Upon that,expeiments were conducted to study the pavement performance of light-colored pavement materials.The test results show that: the overall performance of the light-colored stone material pavement material was better than that of the glass aggregate light-colored pavement material,and the road performance of the glass aggregate light-colored pavement material wass generally reduced to a certain extent,especially Water stability and high temperature performance significantly reduced;comprehensive road performance test results show that the amount of waste tempered glass sand can reach 15%.Then,the tunnel lighting model was used to measure the illuminance and brightness of different pavement materials under the same lighting conditions and calculate the average pavement illuminance,average pavement brightness,reflection coefficient,and illuminance brightness conversion coefficient to study the energy-saving effect of bright pavement materials.The research shows that under the same lighting conditions,the brightening pavement material had a significant effect on improving the average brightness of the pavement and the reflection coefficient of the pavement,and the improvement in the average illuminance of the pavement is small;the energy saving effect of the brightening pavement material with glass aggregates is better and better than light-colored stone materials.The supporting project of this article is the Taifeng Expressway Project.Based on the pavement performance test results and lighting test results of light-colored pavement materials of various blending schemes,the scheme of light-colored pavement material with waste tempered glass sand of 15% blended and 2.36 mm ~9.5mm replacing the corresponding particle size aggregates,which has good pavement performance and remarkable energy saving effect,is recommended as a material composition scheme of mixed light-colored pavement materials.
