Study On The Characteristics Of Traditional Village Religious Architecture In Taihang Mountain Area Of Xiuwu County

Religious architecture is an important part of traditional architecture and one of the places where people rely on their beliefs.Under the background of traditional village protection and development,religious architecture has gradually become a breakthrough point in academic research.Most of the existing studies on religious architecture focus on the famous and large-scale places and their belief culture,but the attention to religious architecture scattered in traditional villages is slightly insufficient.As a kind of architectural type with ideological tendency,its location distribution,location characteristics and courtyard type intuitively show the position of religious architecture in the villagers’ hearts,and the construction skills and architectural decoration reflect the local aesthetic characteristics to a certain extent.Most of the traditional villages in Taihang Mountain District,Xiuwu County,Henan Province,have religious buildings preserved.The paper takes the religious architecture in the region as the research object,after extensive research,analyzes the formation background,building category and distribution characteristics,and summarizes the current situation of religious architecture within the research scope.On this basis,analyze the site selection,basic system and spatial combination of religious buildings in Xiuwu villages in Taihang Mountain,compare with the local residential buildings,highlight the construction skills,including building materials,bearing system,wooden frame,platform,wall type and structure,roof type,compare with the religious buildings of different sizes,show the characteristics of religious buildings in the region,and evaluate the cultural and aesthetic value of traditional villages in the region.Finally,for the existing problems of these religious buildings,the corresponding protection and development strategies are proposed.This paper explores the formation and development process of religious buildings in traditional villages in Taihang Mountain area of Xiuwu County,studies its spatial layout and construction technology,and shows the regional characteristics of the research objects.In order to provide reference for the protection and development of religious buildings in traditional villages in Taihang Mountain.
