Considering the building cost,the method of ship assembly on ground could be used for middle and small size cruises.It could improve the building efficiency,and decrease the cost of building and dock usage without the constraint of dock cycle.After building,slide ways would be used for ships launch by dragging.As the very thin plates are widely used on cruise,the hull stiffness of the cruise will be very low,and the local structures will be broken easily which maybe lead the room damaged and the equipment destroyed,during the process of dragging to a barge.Especially for the connection between barge and ground,the altitude intercept will appear,and will cause the concentrated stress.So,the process of dragging could be taken as the first important test of hull strength for the whole ship building cycle.However,for the blockade of foreign technology,there is little available research for the bottom strength during dragging to a barge,especially for cruises.And there are no exact and complete calculation methods.Under this condition,it has strong guiding significance to carry out the research of predicting the stress distribution of bottom and the extremely altitude intercept and forming a strength calculation method for native cruise design and building.This paper sums the research result during cruise launching and analyzes the strength theory during the dragging to a barge in brief.Basing on the mechanical model,a creative evaluation method is presented,and this method is used on polar expedition cruise in CMCS.The strength analysis has been carried out andsome research result has been concluded.Basing on the quasi-static assumption,a creative calculation method for ship bottom structure during dragged to a barge comes out.Using this method and finite element theory,based on whole ship model and simplified model directly,the subject has been calculated and researched.The stress distribution and the locations where max stress appeared have been obtained.The extremely altitude intercept has been also obtained.Besides,the difference between two models has been compared.At last,these results have guided the dragging launch of real cruise successfully.It will provide a feasible and effective method for project design and strength calculation of dragging launch to a barge for China’s cruise ship.
