Because of the security and cost problems,lithium-ion batteries can not meet the increasing demand of energy storage.It has become a hot research topic to find the substitute of lithium-ion batteries.At present,the research of metal ion battery has made relatively good progress,but it is still in the primary stage,and there is still a long way to go from commercial promotion.In this case,the breakthrough of non-metal ion battery is of great significance.In this paper,iodine,bromine and chlorine are mainly used to study the non-metallic ion battery,and the positive and negative electrode materials,electrolyte system and charge discharge principle are explored respectively.Firstly,the iodine ion battery was studied.According to the intercalation mechanism of iodine ion in carbon black,a new rechargeable iodine ion battery was built.The electrolyte system is not only safe and environmental protection,but also solves the solubility problem of iodized salt in organic solvent.At the same time,the battery is equipped with two anode materials,zinc foil and copper foil,and the maximum cycle life exceeds 10,000 times.Secondly,the experiment of bromide ion battery was carried out.According to the adsorption mechanism of bromide ion in carbon black material,a new type of rechargeable bromide ion battery was built.The electrolyte of the organic system of ethylene glycol ammonium bromide is used,and the electrolyte does not produce harmful substances.At the same time,three battery anode materials of zinc,copper and nickel have been found,and the maximum cycle life measured exceeds 3000 times.On the basis of the research of bromide ion battery,we carried out an extended study on the copper bromide battery.Based on the hydrothermal reaction of ethylene glycol,we synthesized the electrolyte of acid ester system,which solved the problem of instability of copper bromide in the electrolyte.The cycle life of the battery was more than 8000 times,and the cycle efficiency was not less than 82%.Finally,in the research of chloride ion battery,graphite paper is chosen as the positive material of the battery,which avoids the defect of dissolving the active substance of the traditional chloride ion battery.The battery uses water-based tetramethylammonium chloride electrolyte with zinc metal negative electrode and has a cycle life of more than 4000 times.At the same time,the electrolyte is promoted by lithium fluoride,and the cycle life of the battery exceeds 10,000 times.On this basis,we synthesized flexible solid electrolyte based on polyvinyl alcohol film-forming technology and applied it to chloride ion battery,assembled flexible chloride ion battery,and realized the charge and discharge of chloride ion battery under different bending angles.
