Study On The Optimization Of Block Environment To Promote The Elderly’s Residential Satisfaction

The living satisfaction of the elderly is closely related to their mental health and quality of life,and is fundamentally restricted by the spatial quality characteristics of the residential block.Through the effective intervention to the block space characteristics,improve the level of living satisfaction of the elderly,the development of positive block construction,contribute to the development of healthy aging.As the main living place for the elderly,block plot has an important influence on their healthy life and social intercourse.The difference of the function of block land(land use,green space rate,etc.)or the security and convenience provided for travel(such as infrastructure,residential form,etc..Because of the complexity of the relationship between satisfaction level and spatial characteristics,we deeply understand the intrinsic relationship between the spatial characteristics of blocks and the elderly’s residential satisfaction,and construct a well-ordered satisfaction logit model,the paper puts forward the strategy of block land optimization to meet the needs of the old people.Based on the study of the relationship between the spatial characteristics of blocks and the living satisfaction of the elderly,the framework of feature recognition-model construction-qualitative analysis is established.Based on the case study of the main urban area of Dalian,the basic data of the elderly were analyzed by questionnaire survey and field survey.From the three perspectives of block function diversity,mobility convenience and activity safety,to identify the environmental characteristic factors that can significantly improve or decrease the elderly’s satisfaction with living and to explore the interrelation among them by logit model.The framework is not limited to a single environmental element,but provides a new research direction to explain the intrinsic relationship between elements with multiple environmental impacts and residents.It is found that the type of POI points,the form of settlement and the height of buildings are the key factors affecting the living satisfaction of the elderly.Among them,the single plot with high greening rate and central daily facilities can improve the satisfaction of living of the elderly.Compared with the horizontal convenience degree(plot shape,Mesh density),the vertical convenience degree(building height)in plot has a more significant impact on the elderly?s residential satisfaction.At the same time,the closed land with less traffic by motor vehicles can improve the satisfaction of living by influencing the security perception of the elderly.In addition,the subjective built environment,as an intermediary variable,will affect the effect of the objective built environment on the degree of residential satisfaction.The individual economic and social attributes of the elderly(number of people living together,occupation before retirement,housing market)play a role in the subjective perception of built environment and satisfaction.Finally,based on the research results of the elderly?s housing satisfaction and the environmental characteristics of typical plots in Dalian,the paper puts forward some suggestions for improving the environmental design of plots.So we can identify the factors that affect the living satisfaction of the urban elderly and explore the effective ways to improve the well-being of the elderly residents,which can provide effective reference for the construction of healthy aging cities.
