Research On Problems And Countermeasures In The Development Of Shanghai International Air Cargo Industry

Under the influence of the wave of economic globalization,speed has become a key factor in the development of the global economy,especially international air cargo,which has become an important pillar of global trade.In recent years,the development of international air cargo has become a national strategy.Shanghai is the window of communication between China and the world,mainly focusing on the development of export-oriented economy.Shanghai international air cargo industry depends on the sustainable development of Shanghai Pudong international airport,but there are still many problems in the process of its development,which need to be solved urgently.The development level of international air cargo in Shanghai is of great significance to the development of international air cargo industry in Shanghai and even the whole country.Therefore,this paper carries out a comprehensive study on the development status of Shanghai international air cargo industry,finds out the existing problems,and provides corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.This paper mainly includes five major contents: related concepts and theoretical foundations of international air cargo,the current situation of Shanghai international air cargo industry,the problems in the development of Shanghai international air cargo industry,the development experience of domestic and foreign international air cargo center,and the development countermeasures and suggestions of Shanghai international air cargo industry.Firstly,on the basis of elaborating the concepts and theories related to international air cargo,the study scope narrowed to Shanghai Pudong international airport,and then around the Shanghai Pudong international airport analyzing the data of the total import and export volume of Shanghai and the cargo and mail throughput of Shanghai Pudong airport’s international routes by quantitative analysis method.It analyzes the development status of Shanghai international air cargo industry from six aspects.Secondly,based on the analysis of the development status of Shanghai international air cargo industry,combined with relevant data and information to analyze the problems in its development in five aspects.These problems include,the transportation mode is single,the scale strength is weak;the international route network is imperfect,and the advantages of air cargo are weak;the construction of cargo hub;the level of cargo informatization is low,and the customs clearance environment is relatively backward;low degree of integration of air cargo companies.Finally,through the analysis of the leading domestic and foreign international air cargo center,some development experience is summarized by inductive analysis method,and combined with the actual situation of Shanghai,put forward six countermeasures for the development of Shanghai international air cargo industry: change the single mode of transport,make up the scale strength of the defects;improve the route network and develop multimodal transport;adhere to the concept of sustainable development,build an international air cargo hub;enhance the soft power of air cargo;cultivate large aviation logistics integrated service providers;expand the synergistic development effect of airport and free trade zone,promote the development of airport economy.It is expected that these countermeasures and suggestions can make theoretical contributions to the development of Shanghai international air cargo industry and have certain practical significance.
