In recent years,with the development of our society and the improvement of people’s living standards,the heating load of residents has increased year by year.In the recent residential heating season,one unit can no longer meet the heating needs of urban residents because the Datun Thermal Power Plant is the only heat source in the urban area of Peixian,and two units are required to operate at the same time.The original design of the Datun Thermal Power Plant with dual units has a maximum heating area of 4.5 million square meters.If the existing heating system is not retrofitted,it will not be able to meet the area’s needs of approximately 10.5 million square meters of additional heating area by 2025.Based on the heating status of Datun Thermal Power Plant,this paper responds to the requirements of national coal-fired thermal power plant flexibility transformation policy and increases the deep peak shaving capacity of the heating network during the heating network expansion and transformation at the same time,according to the requirements of Peixian’s 14 th Five-Year Plan for heating supply 。 Based on the original industrial and heating dual-extraction heating method,the paper puts forward four schemes: high back pressure technology transformation,optical axis heating technology transformation,heat pump heating transformation technology,and low-pressure cylinder zero-output transformation technology.These schemes are analyzed and compared,and the technical transformation scheme of adopting low-pressure cylinder zero output for heating capacity increase is determined.Under this design scheme,this paper has carried out a research on the transformation of the steam turbine body,optimized the layout of the thermal system,analyzed the adaptability of the original auxiliary engine system and the transformed heating network,and studied the flexibility of the unit heating period operation after the transformation.The low-pressure cylinder zero-output heating technology transformation uses the original low-pressure cylinder inlet steam for extraction steam heating,which improves the heat supply capacity of the unit,reduces the loss of the power plant’s cold source,and improves the unit’s peak regulation capacity.The research results of this paper show that the low-pressure cylinder zero-output heat supply capacity increase transformation is safe and feasible.It improves the heat extraction capacity while increasing the unit load regulation range and unit efficiency,and achieves the purpose of heating network capacity increase and unit operation flexibility.It also provides a reference for other units to increase heat supply and flexibility.
