| With the growing scale of China’s economic development,high-speed rail,as an important means of transportation to quickly connect China’s economic regions,is of great significance to promote regional development and urban-rural integration.Due to its special geographical location and policy support,most of the primary and advanced production factors flow into its central economic zone,making it a major economic zone with large population scale,high resource concentration and strong scientific and technological innovation.The difference between the southeast coastal area and the western underdeveloped area is more and more obvious.In this paper,from the county level,through the study of the impact of Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway on the economic development of counties along the line,quantitative analysis of the positive and negative impact of Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway on different distances and different regions of counties and cities,discusses the rationality of high-speed railway construction and regional demand,and provides a certain reference for the rational planning of high-speed railway in the East and West.This study takes the cities and towns along the Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway as the research area,2008-2017 as the research period,and night light as the index to measure the economic activity of social population.It analyzes the impact of Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway on urban economy from macro to micro scale from three aspects: the overall mechanism of high-speed railway on urban economy,the division of travel time and distance zone,and the division of heterogeneity of highspeed railway lines in the East and West.The research process is as follows.(1)The data acquisition year and resolution of DMSP / OLS and NPP / VIIRS are inconsistent,so the available night light images are obtained by desaturation correction,continuity correction,de-noising and outlier processing of two different data sources;(2)the highest year NPP / VIIRS night light data is constructed to extract DMSP / OLS night light images,which are corrected by radiation consistency(3)it is analyzed that the night light can not accurately measure the economic activities of the industrial park at night,and the entropy method is used to integrate the night light and the added value of the secondary industry to get the composite index.(4)Based on the previous linear function,it can be used to measure the number of excellent indicators,the number of light,the number of population at night,and the power function Data,self collected travel time and night light data,through the multi period double difference method(DID)model to analyze the overall mechanism of high-speed rail on the economy of cities and towns along the line,the economic impact of different travel time and the heterogeneity of East-West high-speed rail lines;(6)to verify the reliability of the conclusion,using parallel trend test,counterfactual test of changing policy time point,and replacement phase Four methods are used to test the robustness of the original model.The main conclusions are as follows.(1)Shanghai Kunming high speed railway has a positive impact on the economic development of the cities and towns where the station is located.By comprehensively measuring the industrial output value,urban population size,government intervention in cities and towns,living standards of residents and the active degree of capital flow in the market,it is analyzed from a macro perspective that the economic development of the cities and towns where the stations are located has been significantly promoted with the operation of high-speed railway.With the increase of the distance from the high-speed rail station,its influence shows a positive "U" type relationship,that is,the total economic volume of the cities and towns closer to the high-speed rail station will be inhibited,and the inhibition effect will be eliminated and turned into promotion effect after a certain distance.(2)The impact of Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway on urban economy has spatial heterogeneity.The Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway will promote the economic development of cities and towns along the line.However,as the high-speed railway line across the East and West,the economic foundation of the underdeveloped cities and towns in the West lags behind that of the cities and towns along the East,which makes the operation of the high-speed railway play a more significant role in promoting the economic activities of the underdeveloped cities and towns in the West.Among them,the high-speed rail operation will reduce the deposit willingness of the residents in the eastern cities,and the residents are more inclined to use the funds for investment than those in the non cities and towns along the Western lines.In addition,the general financial expenditure and fixed asset investment of local governments in eastern cities increased,while that of western cities and towns decreased,indicating that high-speed rail operation brings capital and industrial development opportunities for eastern cities and towns,with stronger market liquidity.On the contrary,the resources of western cities and towns will be partially lost due to the attraction of eastern cities and towns.(3)The impact of Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway on urban economy has spatial heterogeneity.The Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway will promote the economic development of cities and towns along the line.However,as the high-speed railway line across the East and West,the economic foundation of the underdeveloped cities and towns in the West lags behind that of the cities and towns along the East,which makes the operation of the high-speed railway play a more significant role in promoting the economic activities of the underdeveloped cities and towns in the West.Among them,the high-speed rail operation will reduce the
