Study On The Heritage Composition And Value Of Hanjiang Waterway From The Perspective Of Cultural Routes

As one of the oldest rivers in China,the Hanjiang River has exerted a huge influence on the economy,society and culture in different historical periods of China.Presently the study of the Hanjiang River rarely involves the field of cultural heritage protection.Under the guidance of ICOMOS Charter on Cultural Routes,Yu Kongjian and other scholars proposed to build China’s Lineal or Serial Cultural Heritages network in 2009.The cultural belt along the Yangtze River has been preliminarily defined as Lineal or Serial Cultural Heritages.As the largest tributary of the Yangtze River,the Hanjiang River has also attracted the attention of many scholars,opening a new field of studying the Hanjiang River from the perspective of cultural routes.However,the current research is mainly focused on the Hanjiang River basin,and the scope and objects of the research are too numerous and complex.There is a lack of more detailed research and sorting on the correlation between the heritage of the Hanjiang River and the cultural belt along the river.In the compilation of "Conservation Planning of Historical and Cultural Citie of Hanzhong(2021-2035)",scholars analyzed the distribution of dense historical sites on both sides of the Hanjiang River and the phenomenon of cultural transmission along the Hanjiang River from the perspective of cultural routes,and firstly proposed the concept of "Hanjiang waterway" and a series of heritage protection goals of "Hanjiang waterway".However,the work of heritage composition and value identification has not been thoroughly carried out.Therefore,from the perspective of cultural routes,this study identifies and studies the heritage composition and value of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang waterway,which is of great value and significance for promoting the protection of Hanzhong and "Hanjiang waterway".This study is divided into three parts.The first part is the basic research.As a new heritage protection object,"Hanjiang waterway" needs to be named and connotation of "Hanjiang waterway" according to the ICOMOS Charter on Cultural Routes and other relevant documents,using the concepts of "Waterway Heritage" and "Waterway Traffic Cultural Heritage" for reference.Secondly,the historical development of the "Hanjiang waterway" is studied,and the historical evolution process and route of the "Hanjiang waterway" are sorted out.On this basis,from the perspective of ICOMOS Charter on Cultural Routes,"Hanjiang Waterway" meets the definition of "Cultural routes",has the characteristics of "Cultural routes" and so on.Finally,based on cases and related document discusses "Hanjiang Waterway" heritage interpretation and the value of theoretical basis,research and build the corresponding technical methods.The second part is the heritage composition identification and heritage resources investigation of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang Waterway.Based on the technical methods of construction and the historical connotation of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang Waterway,the classification idea of the components of Hanjiang Waterway is established to confirm the components of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang Waterway.Finally,the resource investigation was carried out on the heritage elements that have been determined to belong to the Hanzhong Basin section of the Hanjiang waterway.The third part is the research and judgment on the heritage value of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang waterway.Based on the logical thinking of "Heritage elements-Attributes-Value(value item-overall value)",the value attributes of all kinds of heritage elements in Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang Waterway are analyzed,so as to clarify the common value items of heritage elements.The value system of "Protection Regulation for Chinese Cultural Relics Sites" is chosen as the framework of transforming "value item" into "overall value" of cultural line,and then the overall value of Hanzhong Basin section of Hanjiang Waterway includes five aspects: History,Art,Science,Culture and Society.This paper sorts out the naming and conceptual connotation of "Hanjiang Waterway",constructs the technical methods of heritage composition and value research of "Hanjiang Waterway" from the perspective of cultural routes,and takes the Hanjiang Basin section of the Hanjiang Waterway as an example to clarify its heritage components and heritage values.This study provides a reference framework for the study of the elements and values of the heritage of similar cultural routes,and at the same time provides a research basis for the overall cognition and protection of "Hanjiang Waterway".
