Abstract/Summary:
As a biofuel, vegetable oil has a broad application prospect. But the direct application of vegetable oil in engine combustion is limited by its characteristics of high viscosity and high density. There are many kinds of vegetable oil with complex components, among which the existence of unsaturated fatty acids has certain influences on the quality of vegetable oil as fuel. Therefore, this study focused on establishing alternative basic fuel blends containing vegetable oil and low-carbon alcohols(methanol and ethanol),five co-solvents with biological production background were used to improve the solubility and some fuel characteristics of blends. The results showed that the basic blend could become a stable and mutually soluble ternary fuel system and the density and viscosity of which could be adjusted under the effect of co-solvents.Among the co-solvents,tetrahydrofuran(THF)had the most comprehensive improvement on the stability and fuel characteristics of the fuel system, especially on the adjustment of kinematic viscosity.Among the three butanol isomers,n-butanol has the strongest solubilizing properties and density adjustment to the basic system.Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether(PODE)was suitable for preparing high density fuel to improve the energy supply efficiency of fuel system.Among the oil crops studied in this paper,C4 plant corn has the most outstanding energy accumulation and transformation efficiency, but linoleic acid, one of the main fatty acids accumulated in its seeds, has high unsaturated property. In this paper, the key genes controlling linoleic acid synthesis were identified by analyzing the metabolic pathway of linoleic acid in corn oil.Through the identification of FAD2 gene family and the construction of phylogenetic tree in corn, the key genes controlling fatty acid accumulation and synthesis in corn were analyzed and named, and six members of FAD2 gene family were identified for the first time. The expression of FAD2 gene family members was analyzed by real-time PCR.It was found that ZmFAD2-1A is the key gene regulating linoleic acid biosynthesis in corn seed development. The determination of the key regulatory genes in the FAD2 gene family of corn provides a new way to improve the fuel characteristics of corn oil by controlling the expression of key genes.
