With the rapid proliferation of renewable energy sources,the centralized grid structure has been changed gradually.The decentralized generation brings about distributed energy network,such as microgrids.Although renewable energy is clean and sustainable,the intermittent and unpredictable nature of its generation will cause uncertainty of energy supply.So it is a big challenge to keep balance between supply and demand.Demand response is effective to match the power demand with the supply in microgrids.But the traditional scheme can not apply to dis-tributed microgrids appropriately,because of untrusted center.In recent years,the blockchain technology and its potential in decentralizing the management of complex systems have been widly concerned.In our vision,in order to promote co-operation between energy entities in weakly trust environment,it is very meaningful to establish decentralized demand response management with blockchain.In this paper,we analysis the blochchain technology and demand response programs,and carry out our research from the following two aspects:consortium blockchain architecture design and decentralized demand side bidding scheme.1.Based on the model of interconnected microgrids,we propose a novel consor-tium blockchain.Multi-ledger and local nodes endorsement have been adopted to save storage and computing resource.According to theoretical analysis and simulations,our schemes can improve the scalability and transaction perfor-mance significantly.2.With trusted consortium blockchain and self-enforcing smart contract,we in-vestigate a decentralized demand side biding scheme,including profit models,bidding process,price updating algorithm and smart contract contents.And we achieve the DApp with Hyperledger Fabric in Docker containers.The experimental results shows that our scheme implements exponentially fast convergence in bidding process,and can be an effective way to decentralized demand response management.The research on the key technologies of demand response in microgrids based on consortium blockchain will meet the requirement of decentralized demand re-sponse management in distributed microgrids.It also has theoretical and practical significance for promoting the healthy development of business cooperation.
