As the second defense line of power system,backup auto-switching device plays a crucial role in ensuring the stable and reliable operation of regional power grid.However,there are still some limitations in some operation modes of the station side backup auto-switching device.For example,in the case of multiple stations in series power supply,all non-fault loads cannot be restored after a fault occurs;After load transfer,the load rate of equipment on the standby power side cannot be taken into account;When distributed generation is connected,the backup auto-switching’s action strategy is greatly disturbed;A single factor may cause the misoperation of the backup auto-switching device and so on.Aimed at the station side backup auto-switching device widely used in current regional power grid,this paper firstly analyzes its working principle and its limitations existed in a variety of grid structure and operation mode.Therefore,a more suitable scheme as the wide-area backup auto-switching is put forward for the regional power grid,and a detailed analysis of its advantages in specific application scenarios and the technical principles and implementation process is presented.Secondly,considering the load rate of equipment on the standby power side,this paper analyzes the status quo and demand of traditional backup auto-switching devices,and further proposes the optimization algorithm of fault recovery strategy with the carrying capacity of equipment as the constraint condition.Based on this optimization algorithm,the complete action logic of wide-area auto-switching is deduced.On this basis,the simulation program of the optimization algorithm was written by using MATLAB simulation software,and the applicability and feasibility of the optimization algorithm were verified through the simulation of a practical case of a regional power system.Finally,according to the characteristics and trends of distributed generation access in power system,this paper analyzes the impact of distributed generation on function of wide-area backup auto-switching,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.
