The design of fatigue prone structural elements on concrete structures requires adequate verification of the constituent materials to ascertain their capacity for resistance under fatigue load.It is essential to study concrete fatigue failure and mechanics under cyclic loading since such findings can be used to assess stability and to prevent disaster and accident structures. From the fatigue analysis of the structural components, therefore, the number of loading cycles that can be sustained in service using stress-life models,or the level of structural damage relative to a given limit is required. The study of the fatigue behavior of concrete subject to cyclic loading is of great significance for the protection and stability of the structures. This investigation aimed to gain a deeper perspective and provide a clearer understanding of the process of damage that occurs within the material during fatigue load.In this paper, factors affecting fatigue of concrete structures are included.C30 concrete samples were used for testing uniaxial compression and uniaxial fatigue test. All the concrete test samples had a 50 mm diameter and 100 mm height. The concrete’s fatigue properties are studied based on laboratory testing using the MTS 815.04 machine. With several cycles, concrete cylinders were tested for failure to investigate the macroscopic and microscopic material changes.Based on the experimental results, the stress and deformation characteristics under cyclic loading are presented. The experimental results indicate that the apparent volumetric strain under uniaxial compression may adequately reflect the structural response and the degree of crack development in cylindrical specimens. The effect of stress level and load to the number of cycles to failure was seen;therefore, the development of strains and stiffness are quantifiably affected by the fatigue loading change. It is seen that in cyclic loading, there is a strong inhomogeneous strain and stress distribution, and also, the relationship in stress-strain shows significant variation. So,studying the influencing factors and the failure mechanism of fatigue is important to minimize the influence of cyclic load in the long-term deformation of concrete structures.
