| With the continuous improvement and maturity of power electronics,microelectronics and microprocessor technology,stepper motor system has developed rapidly,especially the stepper motor driver.It’s widely used in electric equipment powered by lithium batteries,electrical appliances powered by power management chips,etc.In order to ensure the stable operation of the driver,the driving circuit with wide working voltage range and the H-bridge circuit with fast response need to be studied.A driving circuit with a wide operating voltage is designed in this thesis.Firstly,the technology is summarized from stepper motor system to stepper motor driver.Second,the design index and the overall framework are given.Then,a driving circuit solution with wide operating voltage range is proposed.The solution ensures that the driving circuit operates normally in the whole voltage range by improving the internal power supply circuit to produce a low-voltage power supply without threshold loss.At the same time,the H-bridge with complementary CMOS structure and its gate drive circuit are designed in this thesis.The speed of power tube on and off is fast,so that the stepper motor can respond to the controller quickly.In addition,in order to improve the reliability of the stepper motor system,the driver is integrated with low power mode,under-voltage lock protection,overtemperature protection and over-current protection.Fourthly,the function and design index of the circuit are verified and the layout is given by the tool of Cadence.Finally,the test environment was set up and the driving circuit is validated effectively.Test results show that the driver’s working voltage range from 2.5V to 32 V and low power consumption standby current is less than 10 n A.Meanwhile,the delay time of input to the output are 1330 ns and 1510 ns,the dead zone is 1150 ns and the rise and fall time of output is 13 ns with 1n F capacitance.This driver can drive the two-phase hybrid stepper motor with full step.Driving circuit parameters and functions are comply with the design target.On the whole,the motor driver is as expected. |
