Research On Optimal Design Strategy Of Lost Space In Blocks

Under the current trend of rapid urban development,most public spaces in cities are in a difficult stage of development,resulting in many public spaces being abandoned and even space fragmented,which has also formed the so-called "lost space".Blocks are an important factor in urban design and urban planning,so the loss of urban space also means the loss of block space.Urban public space has become an inseparable place for communication between people.At the same time,as an important part of measuring the city’s soft power,the quality of urban public space has become an important factor affecting the overall cultural outlook and comprehensive development of the city.The Yangfangdian Blocks,Haidian District,Beijing is the inner and outer northwest corners of the Jinzhong Capital City built during the Jin Dynasty.Its block name has been in use since then.It is an old city with a rich cultural and historical atmosphere.Its public space The problem of the current situation is also a common problem of lost space in cities in our country,which has certain research value and representativeness.Therefore,this article takes the lost public space in the Yangfangdian blocks as a sample,and takes the current situation and causes of the lost space in the block as the main research content.The types of lost space are mainly divided into street space,narrow courtyard space,under-bridge space,and pocket park space,corner space and pedestrian walkway space for research.The research is carried out from five aspects,including questioning,theoretical research,sample investigation and analysis,sample space design exploration and actual strategy generation.This article first sorts out the related theories of Lost Space,and summarizes the characteristics and causes of Lost Space.Based on the field investigation and analysis of the causes of different types of lost spaces in the Yangfangdian block,the theoretical analysis method of the lost space is used for overall analysis,and the common characteristics of the lost space in the block are obtained.Based on the actual case analysis,the space under the Xinxing Bridge and its affiliated green space in the Yangfangdian block is selected for optimization design research.Based on the actual case analysis,the space under the Xinxing Bridge and its affiliated green space in the Yangfangdian block is selected for optimization design research.Finally,combining theory,actual case analysis and design research,for each type of lost space,organizing and proposing universal and feasible specific optimization strategies suitable for the same type of lost space from the perspective of architecture,hoping to be the follow-up urban public space theory Research and actual project construction provide useful references.
