Switchgear is an extremely important equipment in power system.Partial discharge caused by insulation deterioration is one of the main reasons for switchgear failure.Partial discharge will cause free electrons to ionize with molecules under the action of electric field and generate derived gases.As far as the current detection methods of switchgear are concerned,they are not enough in terms of detection accuracy or economy.Based on this background,this paper aims to deeply analyze the relationship between the type of partial discharge and the gas concentration in the switchgear,and put forward a new detection method,so as to achieve economic and accurate detection of the operating state of the switchgear.(1)This paper analyzes the typical defects that lead to partial discharge,and lists four main defects.By analyzing the basic principle of air decomposition to generate derived gas when partial discharge occurs in the switchgear,the generation of derived gas and the factors affecting the decomposition of air discharge are discussed in detail.It establishes the theoretical basis for the subsequent experiments.(2)In order to improve the accuracy of switchgear detection,based on the fluent fluid dynamics research platform,this paper simulates and analyzes the diffusion of derived gas components when partial discharge occurs in the main gas chamber of the real switchgear,determines the distribution of derived gas,and finds the best detection point for the detection system.Based on the results of real experimental data,it is proved that the detection accuracy of the best detection point is the highest,and the conclusion that it has obvious advantages in detection accuracy is obtained,which establishes the basis of detection location for subsequent experiments.(3)The experimental platform of air discharge system is built,and three typical defect models are designed and made.Different defect models are used to simulate the partial discharge of switch cabinet,so as to determine the discharge amount and breakdown voltage of different faults for the subsequent gas detection system.Based on this,the concentration detection system of acid decomposition products of air gas is designed,and the detection point is placed in the best detection position for experiment.Through the analysis of the experimental data,it can be seen that compared with the traditional detection method,this detection method not only has higher detection accuracy,but also the cost of the equipment required by the system is low and easy to obtain,which is more economical than the traditional chemical detection method.Finally,through the research of this paper,it is found that it is feasible to use the dec In conclusion,it is more economical and accurate to use the gas generated by partial discharge to diagnose the internal insulation state of the switchgear and realize the dynamic detection of the operating state of the switchgear.This proves that the detection system can not only achieve higher accuracy of fault detection,ensure the stability of power system operation,but also greatly reduce the operation cost of the system,with good economic and social benefits.
