In the construction of overhead vertical Wharf in the Three Gorges Reservoir area,in order to meet the berthing depth of ships and connect with land traffic or form land storage yard,large-scale deep backfilling is often required at the rear of the wharf,while deep harbor basin needs to be excavated at the front of the wharf,so that part of the pile foundation of the wharf is located in the high filling slope.In order to study the effect of high fill slope on pile foundation,it is necessary to study the soil arching effect behind the pile in high fill slope,which is of great significance for the scientific and reasonable design and construction of inland river overhead vertical wharf and the long-term safety and stability.However,the current pile-soil interaction in slope is mostly based on the condition of non reinforced soil slope.As a common reinforcement structure of fill slope,reinforced soil plays a significant role in limiting the uneven settlement and lateral displacement of soil.In order to design the back pile foundation of high fill reinforced soil slope,it is necessary to consider the adverse effect of the high fill slope on the back pile foundation under the surcharge action above the slope.Studying the horizontal bearing characteristics of the pile foundation under the high fill reinforced soil slope can make the design scientific and save the engineering cost.In this paper,the soil arching effect of reinforced pile and the horizontal bearing characteristics of pile foundation are studied and analyzed through model experiment and numerical simulation(1)This article summarizes the research status of soil arching effect,reinforced soil and horizontal bearing characteristics of pile foundation on the basis of consulting related literature,and summarizes and analyzes the previous research results.(1)The indoor model test of soil arching effect behind pile of high fill reinforced slope is designed.The test focuses on the influence of different reinforced layers on soil arching effect behind pile and internal force of pile foundation.The results show that: the number of reinforced layers will affect the vertical transmission of earth pressure in high fill reinforced soil slope,the more the number of reinforced layers,the smaller the value of earth pressure behind the pile,the smaller the maximum bending moment and maximum shear force of pile foundation.(2)Using the large-scale finite element software ABAQUS to simulate the soil arching effect behind the piles with different reinforcement layers,and compare the numerical simulation calculation results with the physical model test results.After the validation of the modeling,the effects of grid spacing,filling properties and slope toe on the soil arching effect and horizontal bearing characteristics of pile foundation are discussed.The results show that the closer the grid spacing is,the smaller the earth pressure behind the pile is,and the smaller the maximum bending moment and shear force of the pile are;The larger the cohesion and internal friction angle,the smaller the earth pressure behind the pile,and the smaller the maximum bending moment and shear force of the pile;The smaller the slope angle is,the greater the earth pressure behind the pile is.Combined with the soil arching effect behind the pile and the variation law of the internal force of the pile foundation,the design suggestions of the pile foundation under the condition of high fill reinforcement are put forward.
