With the gradual development of microwave technology to the field of road maintenance,microwave maintenance equipment has been widely used in the road industry,at the same time,the problem of pothole repair has gradually aroused people’s attention,this paper designs a small microwave heating device for the repair of small potholes in asphalt pavement,in order to improve the economy of the repair of small potholes in the road,and to study the heat dissipation system of the above-mentioned device,the current heat dissipation method is mainly water-cooled and air-cooled.Considering the economy and convenience of air-cooled heat dissipation,this paper studies the air-cooled heat dissipation system of a small microwave heating device to ensure that the temperature of the device is within a reasonable range during operation and to reduce the cost of heat dissipation and verifies its effectiveness through numerical simulation methods.Based on the size of the pit repair area,the selection of magnetron was completed,the magnetron antenna array arrangement and the arrangement spacing were determined,and the geometric model of the small microwave heating device was established.The simulation analyzed the influence of the air supply method of the axial fan,fan speed and fan installation method on the heat dissipation effect of the air-cooled heat dissipation structure,and completed the reasonable matching between the fan and the heat dissipation structure;for the problem of large temperature difference between the magnetron units inside the heat dissipation structure,the heat dissipation system was further improved by adding supplementary air openings at the top position of each magnetron unit in the heat dissipation structure.The simulation analyzed the heat dissipation effect of the heat dissipation system with different angle and area of the air outlet,and used the average temperature and dispersion coefficient of each magnetron as the evaluation index to determine the design of the heat dissipation system of the small microwave heating device,and finally simulated and analyzed the distribution of the velocity and temperature fields of the heat dissipation system under different ambient temperatures.
