HFRC-F(HUST Field-Reversed Configuration-Formation)device is specially designed to study the formation of the field-reversed plasma,and the high-voltage pulse power supply in the field-reversed plasma formation zone is its core component.This paper carries out research on the high-voltage pulse power supply in the formation zone of the HFRC-F device,completes the scheme design and structural design of the power supply,completes the design of highvoltage pulse trigger for the hydrogen thyratron,and completes the development and test of the power supply.First,the electrical parameter design and overall structure design of the power supply are completed.At the same time,in view of the large stray parameters of the conventional busbar,the design of the high-voltage laminated busbar is carried out.Based on the requirement of magnetic field during the formation of the field-reversed plasma,the circuit topology and electrical parameters of the HFRC-F high-voltage pulse power supply are designed.The overall structure design of the power supply is completed,and the operating conditions of the highvoltage pulse power supply are analyzed combined with the coil parameters of the HFRC-F device.Aiming at the problem that the high stray parameters of the busbar affect its discharge efficiency,a set of high-voltage laminated busbars is designed.It reduces the stray inductance of the power supply branch to the order of 100 n H,which improves discharge efficiency of the power supply and reduces the oscillation of the coil current at the freewheeling stage.Secondly,in view of the development of high-power and high-isolation voltage pulse trigger for the hydrogen thyratron,a high-voltage floating pulse trigger is designed and developed.Aiming at the problem of large size and high cost of high-voltage isolation transformers in traditional hydrogen thyratron triggers,a floating pulse trigger is proposed to avoid the use of a large number of isolation transformers.This paper completes the design of the pulse forming circuit,the heating circuit and insulation of the floating trigger,and completes the development and test of the trigger.The test results show that the trigger can work normally under a floating high voltage of 30 k V and controll the hydrogen thyratron stably.The opencircuit trigger voltage can reach 9k V,the rise rate of the trigger voltage is about 10 k V/μs when the trigger is loaded.and the time jitter of the trigger is about 7ns.Finally,the development of the HFRC-F high-voltage pulse power supply and the construction of the test system are completed,and the experimental test of the high-voltage pulse power supply is carried out.When the capacitors of the three branches of bias,preionization,and field reversal are charged to-12 k V,20 k V,and 20 k V,the oscillation frequencies of the above three stages are 5k Hz,125 k Hz,50 k Hz,and the peak current of load coil is-20 k A,10 kA,38 kA.The current rise rate at the field reversal stage is about 9.5k A/μs.The high-voltage pulse power supply in the field-reversed plasma formation zone is the core component of the HFRC-F device.In this paper,the development and test of the highvoltage pulse power supply is completed,which lays a foundation for the successful operation of the HFRC-F device.In addition,the design on high-voltage laminated busbars with low stray parameters and floating pulse triggers in this paper can also provide references for the design and development of similar power supplies.
