| There are new requirements for the safety and comfort of housing.Seismic damping design method can not only protect the safety of building structures in earthquakes, but also improve the comfort of users ’ lives during daily use.Viscoelastic dampers are popular products in damping technology.Compared with traditional dampers, they have the advantages of better damping effect, complete functions, reasonable installation, and easy maintenance. However, the viscoelastic dampers currently on the market have low damping, insufficient energy consumption and no large strain capacity, which is difficult to meet the needs of actual projects. Therefore,it has very important value and significance for the research of new viscoelastic dampers and supporting engineering applications. The research group developed a new type of viscoelastic material with high energy consumption. The experiment first studied the basic mechanical properties of the new type of material.Through the shear test with gradient strain amplitude at different frequencies, the shear modulus and equivalent damping ratio were compared witch determine the basic mechanical properties of the material and the energy dissipation and shock absorption effect. Then, the full-scale component of the new high-energy-consumption viscoelastic damper was tested to verify its actual performance and the dimensional correlation of the viscoelastic material.Based on the test results, this paper verifies the engineering application effect of the new type of damper in the actual engineering frame-shear wall structure.Through dynamic time-history analysis and comparison of the structure’s inter-story shear force,inter-story displacement angle and member unit working conditions under different seismic conditions, the energy dissipation effect of the damper is summarized and the effect of the damper is verified in near-fault earthquakes. In order to solve the application problem of dampers, based on the energy method and control function, this paper summarizes and improves the optimal arrangement process of dampers under known damping targets, and provides ideas and methods for the simplified design of damping systems. |
