Research On Plant Landscape Design Of Urban Waterfront Greenway

With the development of the city and the expansion of the population,the urban ecological environment is damaged,the green area is reduced,and the landscape fragmentation,residents lack outdoor public spaces for communication,leisure and entertainment.Urban waterfront greenway can connect and integrate scattered parks,nature reserves,residential green spaces and other open spaces to provide residents with places of rest and entertainment and increase urban vitality.The thesis takes the plant landscape design of the East Lake Greenway as the research object.Through the study of the theories of waterfront greenway and plant landscape design in the domestic and abroad,and the field research,learn from the successful case of East Lake Greenway,and explore the plants desigh methods and strategies of urban waterfront greenways.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1)Through the literature research method to understand the related concepts of urban waterfront greenway and plant landscape,and summarize the observation characteristics of plants,planting methods,space creation and evaluation methods,so as to consolidate the theoretical foundation of the thesis.At the same time,the current research status of urban waterfront greenway plant landscape at home and abroad was also sorted out.(2)Firstly,divided the functional space of the East Lake Greenway into "Road space","Architectural space" and "Lawn space",and then the 5 greenways of the East Lake Greenway,Hushan Road,Huzhong Road,Tingtao Road,White Horse Road and Country Road are carried out on site in the survey.A total of 61 sample points were surveyed through a combination of general census and typical survey methods.There are 33 road spatial samples;20 architectural space sample sites;8 lawn space sample sites.Finally,record and analyze the plant species,life forms,spatial types,plant communities,plant usage frequency,and seasonal characteristics in the sample sites.(3)On the basis of field investigation,combined with plant landscape design theories such as the ornamental characteristics of plants,planting methods,and construction of plants space,analyze the commonalities and individualities in the plant landscape design of different types of roads,buildings,and lawn spaces.A summary of the plant landscape characteristics and specific design methods of Wuhan East Lake Greenway,and puts forward some suggestions including increase the plant species of evergreen tree,rich the acquatic plants and wetland plants in zhe waterfront area,rich the ground cover plants,rich the tree-dimensional greening of buildings,in order to provide relevant reference suggestions for the selection,configuration and application of the urban waterfront greenway plant landscape to create a livable and ecological human landscape environment.
