Study On The Elastic Design Method Of Old City Streets In The Process Of Urban Renewal

With the rapid development of China’s social economy,the urbanization process has gradually stepped into a relatively stable renewal stage from incremental to inventory.Urban old city reconstruction from demolition and construction to the current urban micro renewal,the pursuit of renewal step by step refinement.Street space is an important part of urban space and is closely related to People’s Daily life.Street not only shows the face of a city,but also highlights the culture and spirit of a city.With the continuous development of the city,urban problems such as the decline of the vitality of the old city are increasingly intensified.With the continuous development of the city,the old city is difficult to bear the population growth,traffic congestion,low quality of public space,the gap between historical culture and modern culture and other problems.This paper focuses on the contradictions and problems in the old city street space under the background of urban renewal and puts forward the elastic design method,which can provide reference for the old city street renewal planning in China.The relevant theoretical concepts are briefly defined,the relevant literature at home and abroad is reviewed,and the active street cases at home and abroad are analyzed.This paper analyzes and summarizes the elastic design,puts forward the connotation and core criteria of elastic design,and makes clear the role of elastic design in the street reconstruction of old city communities.Finally,taking Yuyuan Road in Shanghai as an example,the practical application of elastic design method is proposed.Analyze and study the spatial composition of streets in the old city,including the material structure and social structure.Through elastic design,traffic congestion is improved,street vitality is enhanced,spatial diversity is excavated,citizen life is enriched,historical landscape protection is strengthened,cultural heritage is highlighted,and urban charm is enhanced.
