With the continuous expansion of China’s cities.The number of residential buildings as well as office buildings grows with it,followed by more and more supporting service-oriented buildings.As a carrier of business in cities,commercial complexes,as a category of urban complexes,have been widely built in China.However,while providing convenience for people,commercial complexes have gradually exposed some problems.For example,in the architectural design,if the roof design of extremely high standard is not required,the podium roof space is often used to place equipment in order to retain as large and complete internal space for commercial activities as possible.Nowadays,with the increasing number of high-rise residential buildings as well as high-rise office buildings,the problem of equipment noise on the roof of commercial complexes needs to be addressed urgently.It is of positive significance to study the impact of equipment noise of commercial complexes on the acoustic environment of their surrounding buildings.In this paper,we firstly sort out the current status of research on acoustic environment and equipment noise reduction of commercial complexes at domestic and international level.Thereafter,we conducted research and statistics on the basic information of 25 commercial complexes and 60 buildings around commercial complexes in Changsha city,such as building height,area size and building nature,and constructed an ideal model of commercial complexes and their surrounding buildings in Changsha city with representative significance.Then field research and noise measurements were conducted on four groups of Changsha commercial complexes and their surrounding buildings that met the research requirements,to understand the current situation of equipment noise problems in Changsha commercial complexes,to grasp the temporal characteristics and spatial characteristics of the impact of equipment noise in Changsha commercial complexes on the acoustic environment of their surrounding buildings,and to obtain information on noise equipment in typical commercial complexes in Changsha.Subsequently,Cadna/A professional acoustic software was used to compare and analyze the noise control factors such as equipment arrangement,building distance,height of daughter wall,roof protruding auxiliary rooms and noise insulation facilities,and find the key points to control the equipment noise of commercial complexes and improve the acoustic environment of their surrounding noise sensitive buildings.The results of field research and software analysis are integrated to propose noise prevention recommendations for the design and construction stages of commercial complexes and noise-sensitive buildings,and noise control strategies are proposed from the perspective of sound environment improvement and renovation after the construction of commercial complexes is completed.Finally,the conclusions obtained are applied to the actual project,which proves the reliability of the following conclusions:(1)the exposure of the commercial complex equipment noise will have a certain degree of influence on the sound environment of its surrounding noise-sensitive buildings;(2)the distance between the commercial complex and its surrounding buildings and the degree of shading of the noise equipment are the most effective factors to control the commercial complex equipment noise and improve the acoustic environment of noise-sensitive buildings;(3)eliminating noise from the source is the most effective way to control the noise of commercial complex equipment and improve the acoustic environment of the surrounding buildings,and can eliminate source noise from both noise prevention and noise treatment;(4)When designing the equipment noise reduction for commercial complexes,it is better to reduce the noise of all the equipment with ordinary noise insulation facilities than to reduce the noise of only some of the equipment with better noise insulation facilities.
