The third place refers to the informal public gathering place outside the place of residence and work.In this paper,the rural settlements in the long-term evolution process,the formation of regular gathering,to explore the exchange of various information and information of the entity of public social communication place,as the third place in rural areas.At present,the third place of traditional villages is declining,and tourism development leads to new characteristics of traditional village space.At present,subject consciousness of tourism community is gradually awakening,and the competition for space interests is mainly carried out around the public space.Space has become the problem domain of staggered juxtaposition and multiple hybridity under the "social facts" formed by modern "tourism phenomenon".But at present,the research on the third place is mainly focused on the material form,and the attention to the sociality of space is insufficient.Therefore,it is necessary to re-examine the social space reconstruction of traditional villages from a reasonable new perspective.Yuanjia Village in Shaanxi Province is a representative of the traditional self-development tourism villages.However,the spatial evolution and residents’ perception of such villages have not been widely concerned by the academia.Based on the literature review and concept introduction of the third place research,tourism third place and public space evolution research,residents’ tourism perception research,this paper introduces the social space theory,and takes Yuanjia village in Shaanxi Province as a case to analyze the impact of tourism development on the third place of traditional villages from the perspective of community resident perceptions.Based on the extensive collection of historical data,field investigation and combing the historical evolution process of the material form of the third place in Yuanjia village,this paper conducts in-depth interviews with community residents in Yuanjia village,and adopts the grounded theory qualitative research method to generate the third place cognition and practice framework of community residents under tourism intervention from bottom to top.Based on the results of qualitative research,this paper makes a quantitative research design,using descriptive analysis,univariate logistic regression,multiple correspondence analysis and other multiple analysis methods,summarizes the current situation of Yuanjia village community residents’ use of the third place and the development of social relations,and reveals the influencing factors of community residents’ perception of the third place.On the basis of qualitative and quantitative research,this paper puts forward the countermeasures for the reproduction of the third place in Yuanjia village from three aspects: the third place’s form,the third place’s function and social relations.The main conclusions of this paper include:(1)The tourism development of Yuanjia village has greatly changed its regional function,changed the main characteristics of community residents,impacted and reconstructed the social relations of community residents,and introduced a new action logic for the development of the third place of Yuanjia village;(2)The third place with Guanzhong regional characteristics created by Yuanjia village tourism development has become the activity space of Yuanjia village community residents’ daily life.The community residents’ perception of the impact is mainly positive,but the impact is asymmetric.Community resident perceptions of their development is mainly positive.Community residents think that the occupation of the third place caused by tourism is still acceptable;(3)Based on the perception of the impact of tourism development on the third place,community residents form two subgroups: very satisfied type and relatively satisfied type.The influencing factors that lead to different perceptions of community residents mainly include the place,facilities,environment and function of the third place,as well as the changes of social relations,individual characteristics and social characteristics of residents;(4)Under the effect of different perceptions,the community residents’ behavior changes,leading to semi dominant management,overlapping of spatial functions,isolated closed space,mutually beneficial regeneration,expanding use space,embedded coexistence,consumption and so on.And on the whole,the use time of the third place of community residents has been extended,and the use time has developed to both ends of the morning and night;(5)In the spatial practice of community residents,the dual nature of tourism space and community space cross coexists,forming a new space order,promoting the further reproduction of the third place of villages,and the social relations are constantly changing.The countermeasures for the reproduction of the third place in Yuanjia Village include:(1)Improving the function orientation of the third place in Yuanjia Village;(2)Reasonably improving the layout and facilities of the third place;(3)enhancing social vitality and building a harmonious relationship.
