In engineering applications,the perfobond shear connectors(PSC)are used in the form of groups,and its mechanical behavior is not only similar to but also different from that of a single connector.The similarity lies in the fact that the load-slip curve of the PSC group and that of the single connector are nearly consistent.They are different because the bearing capacity of the PSC group is not a simple superposition of the bearing capacities of multiple connectors.This thesis summarizes the research results of the PSC group and reveals its load transfer mechanism.It explains the relationship between a single connector and the connector group and simulates a simplified model suitable for engineering calculations.The thesis includes mainly the following aspects:(1)It summarized the developing history of the experimental research on PSCs.The finite element analysis on the bearing capacity of PSC group is usually inefficient and difficult to converge.Based on the existing test data,this thesis proposes a simplified model analysis method that uses nonlinear springs instead of connectors.(2)The thesis established the displacement boundary conditions of a single PSC and defined the method of determining the ultimate limit state of the bearing capacity of the PSC group.According to the definition of ultimate limit state of PSC groups,we can calculate the bearing capacity of them.The calculated results are in good agreement with the test results.(3)The dimensionless slip formula of a single PSC was fitted,and the calculated limit slip was shown as a ratio of the corresponding connector slip in the simplified model with nonlinear springs.(4)The thesis analyzed the steel-concrete hybrid segment of a suspension bridge pylon.The load afforded by each row of connectors was analyzed.The slip distribution law in a single row of connectors was obtained,as well as the ultimate bearing capacity of the connector group.The example further verifies the effectiveness of the analysis method of using nonlinear springs instead of connectors and welding studs.
