| Elliptical cylinder structures are widely used in the field of practical engineering, and the strength, stability and safety of structures are easily affected by fluid loads. In this paper, the flow problem of elliptical cylinders with low Reynolds number are calculated by using the large eddy numerical simulation method based on Fluent platform. The change law of lift and drag coefficient and the Strouhal number with the angle of attack and the axle ratio of single elliptical cylinder is analyzed. In addition, the variation of the interference effect with the spacing of the series elliptical cylinders is analyzed. It can provide reference for the study of flow around elliptical cylinder. The main research results of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper reviews the research status of flow around blunt body and flow around elliptic cylinder, analyzes the main types of wind-induced vibration of elliptic cylinder, and puts forward the research ideas.(2)Three governing equations of numerical simulation, turbulence models commonly used in numerical simulation and the numerical methods used in this paper are introduced.(3)The flow characteristics around single two-dimensional elliptic cylinder were analyzed, and the numerical simulation results were compared with relevant literatures, which verified the rationality of mesh division and parameter setting in the numerical simulation.(4)By changing the attack angle and the axial ratio of the elliptical cylinder, the adverse wind direction angle was determined when the resistance coefficient of the elliptical cylinder was the maximum, and the state was selected as the characteristic parameter of the flow around the double elliptical cylinder.(5)The numerical simulation analysis of the tandem double elliptical cylinder shows that the critical spacing of the tandem double elliptical cylinder is different from that of the cylinder, and the lift and drag coefficient of the upstream and downstream cylinders will jump around the critical spacing. Finally,it gradually approaches the flow around a single elliptical cylinder. |
