Research On The Place-making Of Historical Streets Around The University From The Perspective Of Everyday Life

After the Industrial Revolution,a trend of blindly pursuing the overall functionality and efficiency manifested in various tasks among urban planning and construction.The lifeless of everyday living space and the disappearance of human vitality make people gradually realize that our city is deviating from its original purpose of construction:to meet the needs of human well-being.In recent years,the humanity,diversity and livability of urban development have been increasingly mentioned by the society.Countries around the world have begun to pay attention to the recreation and regeneration of urban vitality from the perspective of everyday life.The thesis selects an old street in Nanjing called Chengxianjie,which has both historical,cultural and community significance,and recently experienced a series of street beautification and renovation work,as the research object.First,it sorts out and summarizes the philosophical connotation of everyday life,and combines the theories and ideas of urban studies.Then constructs a systematic cognitive research system of street space with three dimensions of "context-form-intercourse ".At the same time,based on research methods such as field surveys and social studies,the thesis traces the historical formation and construction process of Chengxianjie and analyzes the reasons for the formation of the unique temperament of the street.On these basis,the thesis summarizes the organization mode of street space,analyzes the form and pattern of Chengxianjie from the three aspects of block composition,diverse spaces and internal organizational logic,and elaborates the characteristics of everyday life reflected in the spatial dimension,summarizes the relationship between spatial patterns and human use.Furthermore,the thesis uses a more perceptual perspective to observe the specific scenes of ordinary residents’ everyday lives,explores the daily activities of the crowd,the usage habits of public nodes and the shaping of common emotions to find out the power of everyday life among place-making and community-creating and try to rationally explore the connection and contradiction between urban renewal work and people’s lives in recent years from the standpoint of residents.Finally,it summarizes a series of possible models suitable for future place-making,development and renewal of Chengxianjie,proposes and discusses design strategies and specific design measures in three aspects:the continuation of context and history,the strengthening of form and pattern,and the permanent presence of intercourse and authenticity.The thesis hopes to explore a complete process and systematic work method from theory to cognition to design for urban places with daily life endowments.This thesis intends to provide a reference method of cognition and design for similar sites through the analysis of a typical case.The full text includes 76153 words,with a total of 87780 words,and 78 group of charts.
