As a new type of smart material,magnetorheological fluid has been sought after by many experts and scholars because of its excellent performance and wide application space.Researchers from various countries have also conducted in-depth research and analysis on the application of magnetorheological fluid.The yield stress of the magnetorheological fluid can change with the change of the magnetic field strength,so that it can show two states of liquid and solid,and this change can be controlled steplessly.At present,the research on magnetorheological fluids is also relatively extensive and mature,but with the deepening of research,the drawbacks of magnetorheological fluids are also exposed.The performance of changing liquid is decreased,etc.Electromagnetic friction is a traditional transmission method.Like magnetorheological fluid,it is driven by electromagnetism.Electromagnetic friction transmission is carried out by electromagnetically controlling the contact between the main and driven friction discs.The transmission performance is stable,the development is relatively mature,and the transmission torque is highly controllable.In view of the above-mentioned problems of insufficient performance of magnetorheological fluid transmission and weakened force transmission performance,this paper combines the traditional magnetorheological fluid transmission with electromagnetic friction,and proposes an idea of electromagnetic friction and magnetorheological combined transmission..The two transmission modes included in the new transmission device proposed in this paper are highly related,and both rely on the magnetic field for control,which also provides some ideas for research and development in this field in terms of energy and resource conservation.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)The material properties of magnetorheological fluids are introduced,and the material composition,preparation and chain force transfer mechanism are analyzed in detail.The working principle and common working modes of the magnetorheological fluid transmission device are comprehensively introduced.Based on the temperature characteristics,rheological characteristics,magneto-mechanical characteristics,and extrusion strengthening characteristics of magnetorheological fluids,the relationship between viscosity-temperature change,shear yield stress-magnetic field strength,BH relationship,shear yielding The relationship between stress and compressive stress is analyzed and explained.(2)The basic principle of electromagnetic attraction force is analyzed,and the common basic components of electromagnetic friction transmission are briefly introduced.Based on the electromagnetic attraction force,the torque equation of electromagnetic friction transmission is deduced.The contact characteristics and friction characteristics of electromagnetic friction are briefly introduced.(3)The working principles of the traditional disc and cylinder magnetorheological transmissions are introduced,and their transmission torque equations are deduced respectively.Disc and cylinder magnetorheological transmissions are designed and analyzed from the aspects of structure size,coil distribution and magnetic circuit planning,and the force transmission performance of the two types of magnetorheological transmissions is compared.(4)Based on the characteristics of electromagnetic friction and magnetorheological fluid transmission,a combined transmission device is designed.Based on the Ansoft Maxwell magnetic field analysis software,the influence of the force transmission characteristics of the device was analyzed and compared from the four aspects of the coil distribution method,the coil distribution position,the working gap of the magnetorheological fluid,and the input current.(5)The torque equations of magnetorheological fluid transmission,electromagnetic friction transmission and combined transmission are deduced respectively,and the results are calculated,and the excellent performance of combined transmission is verified by comparison.
