| Overpass is a product used to relieve traffic pressure under the background of rapid urbanization;the auxiliary space of urban overpass associated with it has become an important part of urban public space.This paper takes Changsha City’s Second Ring Road and the six typical interchange ancillary spaces within it as the research object,investigates its spatial status on the spot,and evaluates the vitality of the ancillary spaces of the interchange by using urban vitality theory and methods.Based on this,according to the difference in the main functional requirements of the ancillary space of the overpass,an optimization strategy is proposed.The main research contents are as follows:1)Taking the Changsha Second Ring Road and the six typical interchanges within it as the research object,through literature research,field investigation,empirical research,and inductive and deductive methods,from the use of space,the accessibility of space,the richness of landscape,An investigation was carried out in five aspects of public facilities and user behavior characteristics,presenting the current situation of urban overpass ancillary space and summarizing the existing problems in the current situation.2)Drawing on the elements of urban vitality,combined with the status quo of the ancillary space of the overpass in Changsha,three main urban overpass ancillary space vitality components,including crowd elements,space elements,and functional elements,are proposed,from crowd concentration,spatial accessibility,and functional mix.The three indicators are quantified to evaluate the vitality of the ancillary space of the overpass.3)According to the current status and vitality evaluation results of the auxiliary space of the overpass in Changsha,with the basic goal of constructing a harmonious urban public space environment,an optimization strategy for the auxiliary space of the urban overpass is proposed.The main conclusions of the research are: the status quo of the auxiliary space of the overpass in Changsha and its existing problems;the vitality components of the auxiliary space of the urban overpass;the evaluation method for the vitality of the auxiliary space of the urban overpass;the optimization strategy of the auxiliary space of the urban overpass. |
