Study On The Suitability Evaluation And Revitalization Strategy Of Public Space In Guangzhou Historical And Cultural District From The Perspective Of Everyday Life

Starting from the concept of everyday life,this thesis mainly studies the suitability of the public space in the historical and cultural district from the perspective of everyday life and the revitalization strategy of the public space,choosing the Overseas Chinese Village historical and cultural district as the case study.The research of this thesis stems from the concern about the alienation of public space in the transformation of urban historical blocks.The planning method guided by top-down planning and rational thinking has to some extent separated the behavior and life of historical blocks and indigenous people.Public space is no longer just used to organize People’s everyday life.Instead,it has been "transplanted into cities" and "culturally forged" into a virtual image space,detached from real everyday practice.For this reason,this thesis chooses Overseas Chinese Village historical and cultural district as the case study.Overseas Chinese Village is one of the historical and cultural blocks in Guangzhou,and it is a typical residential historical and cultural block,which is a typical case of integrating historical blocks with everyday life.Through the research on the public space of the residential historical and cultural block of the Overseas Chinese Village,we can clearly understand how to combine the everyday life needs of residents with the "cultural building" of the historical and cultural block,in other words,the renewal and transformation of the public space of the residential historical and cultural block must consider the everyday life needs of original residents,and should conform to the logical construction of life,and the renewal and transformation can consider the transformation of the public space to meet the changes of life style,and should be able to continue the spirit of place in the original living space.This thesis combines the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis.This thesis mainly uses the methods of literature analysis,case study,field research,network text analysis,and analytic hierarchy process and questionnaire survey.This thesis includes seven chapters and three parts.The first section is literature and case analysis,including introduction,theoretical research on everyday life,research status and case analysis;The second part is the empirical case study,including the analysis of the current situation characteristics of public space in Overseas Chinese Village and the evaluation of the suitability of public space;The third part is the strategy part,which is the research on the revival strategy of public space in historical and cultural blocks from the perspective of everyday life.Firstly,through the analysis of the present characteristics of the public space of Overseas Chinese Village,this thesis divides the public space into point,area and linear public space according to the spatial form.The public space of Overseas Chinese Village is mainly linear pedestrian transportation public space,supplemented by small public space and micro rest space,and summarizes the existing key problems.Then,on this basis,this thesis builds an evaluation framework,including three evaluations: the quality evaluation of linear public space,the perception characteristics evaluation of public space and residents’ psychological evaluation,so as to understand and master the quality and characteristics of public space and residents’ psychological perception of Overseas Chinese Village from the level of material environment and psychological feeling.Finally,based on the previous literature analysis,case summary and empirical case analysis and evaluation,this thesis summarizes and puts forward the revitalization strategies of the public space of historical and cultural blocks from the perspective of everyday life,including the continuation of life logic and life landscape,the spatial reconstruction according to modern needs,and the industrial implantation from the perspective of everyday life.
