Research On The Protection Of Historical Features Of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village Based On Image Segmentation

After founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China,the process of urbanization experienced explosive growth.In this process,modern residential blocks carries the memory of the city and witnessed the development of the city.Those residential blocks built in the 20 th century are about to face the fate of demolition or transformation.Among them,there are many modern historical blocks with groundbreaking historical significance.For most of their protection is to follow the traditional and modern historical blocks of protection,less from the perspective of the characteristics of modernism.In the face of the arduous task of renovating219,000 old residential blocks built in the mid-to-late 20 th century in the 14 th Five-Year Plan in order to avoid the erosion of modern historical blocks in the renovation,it is urgent to study the protection of the historical style and features of the modern historical blocks.Modern historical blocks are the products of modern urban planning in China’s regional practice.Compared with traditional historic blocks,the characteristics of modern historical blocks are significantly weak,and the styles of blocks are difficult to be perceived by people,resulting in the protection of block styles falling into a vicious circle of lack of protection awareness and destruction of block style.Street scene images take pictures of the city from a fixed humanoid perspective,recording a large amount of urban landscape data.With the help of street scene images,we can study the factors in the street scene that can highlight or weaken the landscape of the block,and summarize the remarkable characteristics of different architectural complexes in modern historical blocks.This paper,from the perspective of the impact of landscape visual perception,adopts the method of street scene image segmentation to quantify the street scene elements.At the same time,combined with on-site survey,it analyzes and studies the visual effect influencing factors of modern historical blocks in Guangzhou Huaqiao New Village,and puts forward some strategies for the visual protection of the historical landscape of Overseas Chinese New Village.The thesis is divided into six chapters,which focus on the modern historical block protection,the visual protection of historical style and features,and the Overseas Chinese New Village in Guangzhou,etc.The first chapter: introduction,starting from the origin,purpose and significance of the research,expounds the topic source and the research background,and clarifies the urgency and the necessity of the research on the protection of modern historical blocks.Secondly,it elaborates the relevant concepts involved in this thesis,combined with the relevant concepts,it sorts out the current situation of domestic and foreign research.Lay a theoretical foundation for the subsequent research,and determine the research ideas,research frameworks and methods of the thesis.Chapter Two: Through analyzing three different types of historical block protection cases,sorting out the composition of their historical value,summarizing the excellent experience and deficiency of the protection model of historical blocks at this stage,and laying the foundation for the follow-up exploration of the protection of modern historic blocks.Chapter Three: The general situation of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village mainly sorts out the reasons for the construction of modern historical blocks of Overseas Chinese New Village,the changes in historical location,and the development course of the internal construction of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village.And the heritage value of the modern historical block of Overseas Chinese New Village in Guangzhou is sorted out and summarized.In Chapter Four,Explain the acquisition of street scene data.The visibility of various elements in Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village street scene is quantitatively analyzed by image segmentation,Arcgis and other digital analysis technologies,and the impact of the visibility of various elements on the visual perception of the historical landscape of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village is summarized.The fifth chapter: Through present investigation,analyze the current situation and characteristics of Overseas Chinese New Village.An analysis of the problems existing in the protection of the historical and visual effects of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village.The sixth chapter discusses the protection of modern historical blocks at the present stage and tries to find suitable methods for the protection of modern historical blocks.Combing the process of the protection of the historical blocks of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village,this thesis puts forward the principle of historical block protection in Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village from the perspective of modern historical block protection.In view of the problems presented in the fourth and fifth chapters,some suggestions are put forward that are conducive to improving the preservation of the historical landscape and visual perception of the of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese New Village.
