Rubber tree is an important economic crop in China.Powdery mildew is an important disease in rubber tree, which has not been effectively controlled for a long time.Powdery mildew has seriously affected the yield of natural rubber. However, the resistance gene against powdery mildew has not been isolated from Hevea brasiliensis. It was reported that powdery mildew of Hevea brasiliensis stimulated disease resistance in Arabidopsis thaliana, and it was found that ROH1(Resistance to Oidium heveae)gene was involved in the broad-spectrum resistance of Arabidopsis to powdery mildew. On this basis, this paper further confirmed the disease resistance function of ROH1 gene by genetic complementation, and found that overexpression of ROH1 gene in plants could cause a large number of cell death in plants.However,ROH1 gene is not involved in Arabidopsis resistance to Pseudomonas syringae.Using yeast two-hybrid screening,it was found that ROH1 can interact directly with Arabidopsis NAC family transcription factors ATAF2.At the same time,ATAF2 was also involved in Arabidopsis resistance to powdery mildew.Co-immunoprecipitation assay showed that ROH1 could interact with EDS1,and there was also interaction between ATAF2 and EDS1.However,there is no direct interaction between ROH1 and EDS1,suggesting that ATAF2 may act as a bridge to make ROH1,EDS1 and ATAF2 in a complex realize the normal transmission of disease resistance signal pathway. In addition, the pathogen of Stachytarpheta jamaicensis powdery mildew was isolated and identified.By biological and molecular identification,it was found that the powdery mildew belonged to Pseudoidium anamorph species of Erysiphe, which laid a good foundation for preventing the outbreak of Stachytarpheta jamaicensis powdery mildew in the future.
