With the rapid development of the urban greening,horticulture industry has also grown rapidly.According to a survey in 2017,China has developed more than 3.7 million hectares of horticultural land in the past 30 years,which is ranking first in the world.In addition,the development of urban green industry promotes the rise of roof green industry.At present,China’s green roof coverage rate is less than1%,which has a huge space for development.However,the cultivation matrix industry,which is closely related to the flowers cultivation and roof greening,still has problems such as poor product quality and backward technology,and the large amount of peat mining has a huge negative impact on the ecological environment.Hence it is urgent to find alternative products.The green waste compost which is conforms to the concept of green city and sustainable development,has the basic characteristics of cultivation matrix.But its nutrient elements are unbalanced,and the quality is still unstable.Aiming at the problems,the best scheme of the green waste compost in different application scenarios was determined by studying on the application of green waste compost in flower cultivation and roof greening.Conclusions are as follows:(1)Adding an appropriate amount of vermiculite and humic acid can improve the water holding capacity and porosity of green waste compost,which can optimize the physical properties.The chemical properties of cultivation substrate were adjusted to create a suitable growing environment for plants with adding an appropriate amount of vermiculite and humic acid.The addition of vermiculite and humic acid can also regulate the nutrient content of green waste compost,especially can significantly improve the phosphorus and available phosphorus content.(2)Humic acid can effectively inhibit the excessive growth of Centaurea cyanus and promote its reproductive growth by regulating the balance of nutrient elements in culture substrate.Vermiculite and humic acid were combined adding to the green waste compost to cultivate Centaurea cyanus,which could enhance the growth ability of roots,improve the biomass of plants,increase the content of elements and chlorophyll of plants,and optimize the quality of Centaurea cyanus.Adding 3.5% vermiculite and 0.5%humic acid is the best method for green waste compost as cultivation substrate.(3)Adding green waste compost,vinegar residue and PEG to the green roof matrix can effectively adjust its physical and chemical properties.PEG can greatly improve the water-holding and waterretaining of cultivation substrate.Vinegar residue can effectively reduce the pH value of cultivation substrate,and alleviate the problem of high alkalinity of culture substrate.Green waste compost is the main source of nutrient elements and the main material to regulate nutrient content of cultivation matrix.(4)The combination of green waste compost,vinegar residue and PEG as the adding material of green roof substrate can significantly improve the mineralization potential and rate of organic matters in the substrate.The comprehensive evaluation index of the substrate that three treatments added together was the highest.It was used as the cultivation substrate for the seedlings of Euonymus fortunei,which can significantly improve the biomass of the seedlings and enhanced the growth capacity of roots.Adding 10%green waste compost,10% vinegar residue and 3% PEG is the best way to prepare the green roof substrate.
