| This paper compares the soil particle size at different establishment years and vegetation cover,as well as the correlation between fractal dimension and soil particle size component content and particle size parameters. The aim is to provide solid theoretical support for the comprehensive management of artificial vegetation areas in the Ulanbuh desert, and also to provide further theoretical guidance for the subsequent ecological restoration projects. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows.(1)Fractal dimension of surface soil particles in artificial vegetation populations of H.ammodendron,Radix Glycyrrhizae and Artemisia annua in different planting years was correlated with grain size content at different levels. The larger the fractal dimension of soil particles is,the more fine particles(clay and powder)are in the soil, and vice versa. The fractal dimension of soil surface particles showed a very significant negative correlation with average particle size, and a very significant positive correlation with kurtosis(Kg).(2)The fractal dimension of surface soil particles of plant populations of Haloxylon ammodendron,Glycyrrhiza and Artemisia annul were correlated with the content of grain size at different levels. When the fractal dimension of soil particles increased, the content of fine particles(clay particles and powder particles)in the soil increased, and vice versa. The fractal dimension of soil surface particles showed a very significant negative correlation with average particle size, and a very significant positive correlation with kurtosis(Kg).(3)The above studies showed that the fractal dimension of the three kinds of artificial vegetation reached the maximum at the coverage of 10%-20%,which was 2.146,and the clay content was the highest. |
