| Termites are one of the five most famous pests in the wrold, whcih can cause huge economic losses over the world.Reticulitermes chinensis likes eating dead wood and plant fiber,so it mainly damages wood, building materials, wood furniture, and fiber products.Odontotermes formosanus having a wide food range, likes living in the dark and humid underground,so it can make a huge damage to buildings, dams and forest. The chemical control is the major method of controlling termite. However, the traditional chemical pesticides make environment suffer from high chemical residue and pollution. So exploiting new termite pesticides with higher efficiency, lower toxicity and pollution makes great sense. In this study,we have chosen three lowtoxicity pesticides including Diamide insecticides A,Chloronicotinyl insecticide C and Diamide insecticides B.To screen desirable pesticide against termites,we tested their trapping efficiency and toxicity of three insecticides under laboratory condition. The main results are as follows:1.Toxicity test of three insecticides aginst termite R.chinensis under laboratory conditionUnder laboratory condition,we tested the toxicity of Bromothalonil,Chloronicotinyl insecticide C and Diamide insecticides B against R.chinensis with five different concentration(1.25μg/ml、2.5μg/ml、5μg/ml、10μg/ml and 20μg/ml)after24h,48 h and 72 h.The result showed that after 24 h,there is no significant difference among the three insecticides. After 48 h,the toxicity of Diamide insecticides A is higher than that of Chloronicotinyl insecticide C and Diamide insecticides B with the concentration from 5μg/ml to 20μg/ml.After 72 h,with the concentration increasing, the corrected mortality of termites exposed to the three insecticides increased. As a result, the toxic effect of Diamide insecticides A is higher than that of Diamide insecticides B and Chloronicotinyl insecticide C.2.The repellent effects of Diamide insecticides A for R.chinensisThe repellent effect of Bromothalonil for R.chinensis was tested by filter paper. The results showed that Bromothalonil did not repel the R.chinensis.3.Toxicity test of three insecticides aginst termite O.formosanus under laboratory conditionUnder laboratory condition,we tested the toxicity of Bromothalonil,Chloronicotinyl insecticide C and Diamide insecticides B against termite O.formosanus after 24 h,48h and 72 h.The result showed that after 24 h,with the concentration from 2.5~20μg/ml,the corrected mortality of termites treated with Chloronicotinyl insecticide C increased from 78.41% to 100%,which suggested that the toxic effect of Chloronicotinyl insecticide C against termtie O.formosanus is higher than that of the others. After 48 h,the corrected mortality of the termites treated with Chloronicotinyl insecticide C is significantly higher than the others. So the toxic effect of Chloronicotinyl insecticide C against termtie O.formosanus is higher than that of Diamide insecticides B and Diamide insecticides A.After 72 h treatement, the result is the same to that of 48 h treatment.4.The repellent effects of Diamide insecticides A for R.chinensisThe repellent effect of Chloronicotinyl insecticide C for O.formosanus was tested by filter paper. The results showed that Chloronicotinyl insecticide C did not repel the O.formosanus. |
