In this paper,210 core germplasm resources of upland cotton were selected as the experimental materials,which were replanted for two years from 2017 to 2018.Through two years of field investigation and statistical analysis,the botanical characters(plant height,number of fruit branches,angle between fruit branches and main stem,node position of the first fruit branch,height of the first fruit branch,length of Boll handle)and yield characters(boll number,single boll weight,lint percentage,sub finger,skin)of germplasm resources were analyzed There are 16 indexes of cotton yield,fiber quality(average length of the first half,length evenness index,specific strength at break,elongation at break,micronaire value)and the data are analyzed and studied.A batch of Germplasm with excellent yield and fiber quality are screened.77 varieties with great difference in fiber quality are screened out from210 tested varieties by comprehensive score of fiber quality The cluster analysis of oil content of cottonseed and the correlation analysis of oil content,yield and fiber quality of cottonseed were carried out:1.The variety of this batch of germplasms,the general performance of fiber quality traits is not good enough,the coefficient of variation of yield traits is generally high,which has a good potential for yield improving.2.Complex correlations among various cotton traits are mainly shown as follows: there are different degrees of relationships among yield traits of cotton,basically positive correlations;there are extremely significant positive correlations between the average length of the upper half and the length uniformity index,the breaking ratio strength,and extremely significant negative correlations with the elongation at break and the micronaire value;the average length and length uniformity of the lint and upper half There is a significant positive correlation between the number and the Macron value,and a significant positive correlation with the fracture specific strength.3.By principal component analysis,16 main traits were simplified to 7 principal components,with a cumulative contribution rate of 75.109%.The seven main components can also be classified as fiber quality factor,abundance factor and flourishing factor.4.By cluster analysis of main yield traits and fiber quality traits of 210 tested varieties,210 germplasm resources were divided into five groups.5.A batch of 12 excellent germplasms were screened,including Sanbao Lu and Simian3 with high boll weight,high lint percentage and high yield;Lu R0061,Lu6222,Lu R1297,Du,415,664,Luyuan 343 and F8 Chang9 with long fiber and high strength.Among them,Du is a kind of germplasms with long fiber,high strength and fine degree;it has high lint percentage and high strength Suyuan 1028;a germplasm material with high yield and high strength,Jizi 65.6.The oil content of 77 cottonseed cultivars with large differences in fiber quality was determined,and it was found that the oil content of cottonseed varied greatly among different cultivars,with an average oil content of 30.08% and a variation of 21.77% to37.94%.7.By cluster analysis of cottonseed oil content,77 test varieties were divided into 4groups.8.Correlation analysis found that the oil content had a very significant negative correlation with the number of bolls per plant and clothing;there was a significant positive correlation with the weight of single boll;there was a very significant negative correlation with the breaking strength;there was a significant negative correlation with the length uniformity index.
