Abstract/Summary:
This study was to investigate effects of feed restriction during late pregnancy on placental development, placental cotyledon angiogenesis in Mongolia Ovine.Twenty four Mongolian sheep with moderate body condition and healthy 2-3 parity were selected in the experiment, and they were pregnant by estrus synchronization.Six representative ewes were slaughtered on the 90th day of gestation, and the remaining ewes were randomly assigned to three nutrition levels treatment groups(Restriction group 1:0.18MJ ME·BW-0.75·d-1,n=6;Restriction group 2:0.33MJ ME·BW-0.75·d-1,n=6;Control group:0.63MJ ME·BW-0.75·d-1,n=5).Different degrees of nutritional restriction were carried out. After 130 days of gestation, the ewes were slaughtered and sampled. The results show that:1.Feeding restriction in late pregnancy affected the placental growth and development and the type of placental cotyledons of Mongolian sheep.Feeding restriction in late pregnancy significantly reduced the fetal weight of Mongolian sheep(p<0.01),and the placental weight of mu1 group was significantly lower than that of CG group(p<0.05).A.The weight and number of type B placental cotyledons decreased p>0.05),and type C and D placental cotyledons appeared.2.Feeding restriction in late pregnancy changed the number of vessels in fetal cotyledons of Mongolian sheep. In different groups, the number of vessels in cotyledons of type A and B placentas decreased significantly(p<0.05),but in the same group, the number of vessels in cotyledons of type A,B,C and D placentas increased in turn(p<0.05).3.The gene expression of vascular development regulators VEGF(p<0.01),ANGPT1(p<0.01)and Pl GF(p>0.05)in different types of placental cotyledons in the low nutrition group were decreased in different degrees, but the gene expression of receptor KDR and FLT were not significantly different(p>0.05).The gene expression of GLUT1 and SNAT2 decreased, but the difference was not significant(p>0.05).
