| The mining of open pit coal mines in Inner Mongolia is mostly concentrated in the ecologically fragile grassland areas. The waste soil and slag accumulated after mining causes great damage to the original land and landscape. The slope surface of the dump is exposed and the soil quality is very poor, causing large-scale pollution of the surrounding environment and causing geological disasters such as debris flow. Therefore, the ecological restoration of soil and water loss in the dump slope of open pit coal mine is an urgent problem. In this study, the dumping site of Xieropencast coal mine in Xilinhot city was taken as the object of study.By means of field investigation and laboratory analysis, the restoration effect of the dump slope under different ecological restoration measures was studied from the aspects of biological community characteristics, soil properties, runoff and sediment yield, etc. The vegetation reconstruction work in the study area started in2007,and the survey work carried out in July,August and September 2020.Ecological restoration measures included biological restoration measures, sand barrier restoration measures and control restoration measures. The main research results were as follows:1.The runoff and sediment volume generated by rainfall on the slope of the dump were the least under the rehabilitation measures of the biological wall;Under the condition of high intensity rainfall, the interception effect of slope soil loss was the best.2.The above ground biomass, vegetation coverage and soil and water conservation effect of the slope under the biological wattle restoration measures were the highest.4.The vegetation growth was better under the measures of biological bio-fence restoration, and the contents of soil organic matter, total nitrogen and total potassium under the measures were higher than those under other measures, which had a certain protective effect on soil quality. |
