Research On User Experience Design Of Cover News APP In Public Health Emergencies

In the traditional media era,due to the limitation of communication media,most of the newspapers use news reports to respond to public health emergencies,report the latest news,disseminate government policies,and provide rumors information.After the integration of media,the traditional media has launched a news app.The change of communication carrier has caused a certain change in the way of communication.In addition to providing news reports to users,APP can also provide services for users through product design.But at present,the development trend of traditional media APP is not optimistic.Tencent News,Toutiao,etc.still occupy the main market share.How to serve users from the perspective of product design under the public health emergencies and occupy the main position is particularly important.The research object of this article is the user experience of Cover News,guided by the theory of user experience elements,to study the performance and characteristics of its design after the outbreak.Using Cover News as a case,adopting the five-element theoretical model of user experience,collecting and coding data through semi-structured interviews,analyzing the performance and deficiencies of product user experience elements at the strategic level,scope level,structural level,and framework level,and giving APP countermeasures and suggestions of local mainstream media.The research found that: in terms of user experience design,Cover News is based on the key nodes of the current development of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic.The functions of the scope layer elements iterate quickly and the news reports are timely;the structural layer elements provide users with more complete functions and users are more satisfied;the frame layer elements Different interface elements are used,and the navigation design within the function is more detailed and complete,but it lacks a certain explanatory explanation;the elements of the presentation layer are visually consistent with the original design of the APP.The coding results show that the functions provided by the Cover News structure layer can meet the user’s sense of security after a public health emergency,but there are still inadequacies in the category of convenience service requirements,which need to be further supplemented and improved at the scope level.When responding to public health emergencies,local mainstream media APPs can accelerate user growth at the strategic level by providing users with local services and mobilizing social mobilization;at the scope level,the category of convenience service needs should be appropriately expanded to prevent rumors by designing individual participation Ways,ways to help rework and provide materials and purchase channels to meet user needs from multiple angles;the structural layer should integrate functions to provide users with life services;the lack of explanatory explanations for the framework layer can increase user guidance during the use process.Finally,at the presentation level,you can use simplified design to highlight key functions and provide users with services.Through the Cover News as a case study,the user experience elements of all levels of APP design after public health emergencies,and by exploring how to provide services to users and whether the services meet user needs,thereby improving the user experience and increasing APP downloads,thereby expanding The main position of the local mainstream media APP.
