With the continuous release of favorable policies in China and the continuous improvement of innovation capacity,the rapid growth of pharmaceutical research and development has brought huge market demand.Furthermore,more and more innovative drugs have entered or will soon enter the clinical trial stage.The research resources for China’s clinical development,however,presents a tense situation,including the relatively few numbers of Phase I-clinical-trial institutions,the limited capacity and research level of the existing clinical-trial institutions etc.The imbalance between supply and demand of clinical research resources,has become a huge problem restricting China’s new drug innovation.For a research hospital,how to meet the challenges of the current situation,how to grasp the opportunity and cultivate the core competitiveness,and how to set up a national first-class Phase I-clinical institutions,have become the focus both in the business field and academia field.Based on strategic management theory,taking H hospital as the research object,this thesis discussed and analyzes,applying the idea of standardization management,the future strategic development plan of H’s Phase I-clinical laboratory under current circumstances.First of all,the thesis conducted a thorough diagnosis to H’s Phase I-clinical laboratory.Moreover,it analyzes H’s basic situation,its advantages and disadvantages.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the strategic management research literature of the hospitals at home and abroad,by applying the PEST analysis model,this thesis analyses the macro environment of H hospital under its new situation,and conducts its new research concerning the domestic market demand of China’s Phase I-clinical laboratory,and make certain the competitive advantage of the H hospital.At the same time,through the SWOT model,this thesis conducts a thorough analysis on the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats of H’s Phase I-clinical business.This thesis advocates that,on the one hand,H hospital should actively make use of its unique advantages that are different from other hospitals: advantages in organizational characteristics,advantages in professional staff,advantages in multiple resources and strong professional and technical force,so as to establish its core competitiveness and avoid and resist various external threats.On the other hand,the thesis suggests that the H hospital should make full use of internal resources and external opportunities,optimize organizational structure,strengthen professional personnel allocation,promote brandbuilding,strengthen subject management and improve independent research and development capacity,and find ways to eliminate internal disadvantages.Through strategic cooperation with top pharmaceutical companies,by inducing academic talents and research teams,and with establishment of a stable exchange mechanism,so as to improve H’s ability to make full use of the external environment.Finally,this thesis analyzes the implementation and the guarantee of H hospital system business strategy from the following three aspects: formulating the talent training plan,strengthening scientific research strength and maintaining core competitiveness,and reconstructing organizational structure to improve operation efficiency.This thesis creatively,with a fresh perspective,summarize and analyze the current situation of Phase-I clinical laboratory at home and abroad.It aims at analyzing the opportunities and challenges of H’s Phase-I clinical laboratory development under new situations.On the one hand,the disadvantage and deficiency existing in H hospital were analyzed and the related solutions were put forward.On the other hand,the thesis has provided its suggestions on how to seize the opportunities,how to build the domestic first-class Phase-I clinical institutions with the support of H’s own advantages and resources,and how to pursuit a long-term development.With its suggestions and advices,the thesis give a direction for H hospital to find a proper road for self-development,at the same time hope to provide some useful reference for other research hospital institutions.
