| Objective: Encapsulation medicine is one of the important external treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine, and has definite clinical effect. The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine encapsulation in the treatment of postoperative pain and swelling after intramedullary nail fixation of humeral shaft fracture, hoping to provide ideas and methods for clinical rehabilitation after fracture. Methods: 62 patients with humeral shaft fracture after intramedullary nail fixation were divided into two groups according to random number table method. In the observation group,a total of 31 patients(17 males,14 females, the oldest age 64 years old,the youngest age 19 years old)were in the observation group. In the control group, there were 31 patients, including 20 males and 11 females, with the oldest age being 64 years old and the youngest 18 years old. Both groups received conventional treatment after surgery.24 hours after surgery, the observation group was treated with Chinese medicine encapsulated externally, while the control group was treated with flurbiprofen plaster for a total of 6 days. The swelling and pain of the affected limbs within 7 days after surgery in the two groups were observed and recorded.VAS score of pain degree was performed at 24,48,72 and 7 days after surgery, respectively. The circumferential diameter difference between the most swollen part of the affected limb and the healthy side was measured at 24 h,48 h,72 h,and 7 d after surgery. The observations were analyzed using SPSS17.0.Results: A total of 62 patients were included in this study.31 patients in the observation group completed this study, and 29 patients in the control group completed this study except 2 patients who withdrew from the study due to skin allergic reaction. There was no statistical difference in the number of allergic reactions between the two groups(P > 0.05),and no other adverse reactions occurred during the study.1.Analgesic effect:there was a statistically significant difference in pain degree between the two groups 48 hours after surgery(P < 0.05),and the analgesic effect of the control group was better than that of the observation group; There was no significant difference in pain degree between the two groups 72 hours after surgery and 7 days after surgery(P > 0.05),and the antipain effect was similar between the two groups.2.Efficacy of swelling reduction:there was no significant difference in swelling degree between the two groups 48 hours after surgery(P > 0.05),and the efficacy of swelling reduction between the two groups was similar. There was significant difference in the degree of swelling between the two groups 72 hours and7 days after surgery(P < 0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group. Conclusion: Both traditional Chinese medicine encapsulation and flurbiprofen cream can effectively treat the pain and swelling after intramedullary nail fixation of humeral shaft fracture. The overall efficacy of the encapsulated group was better than that of the flurbiprofen cream group, which is worthy of further study and clinical promotion... |
