| [Objective] With the progress of endoscopic technology in recent years, nasal endoscopy is applied to thyroid associated ophthalmopathy,Tao) orbital decompression not only has the advantages of minimally invasive, safe and effective, but also the popularity of public knowledge, which makes patients more acceptable than the traditional orbital decompression, which is one of the possible reasons for the popularity of endoscopic orbital decompression in recent years. We hope that with the advantages of endoscopic orbital decompression,we can intervene as early as possible in the course of TAO patients, and try to intervene at the time point before critical symptoms or urgent operation,so as to reduce the possibility of sequelae and improve the quality of life of patients.[Methods] From January 2011 to March 2019,a total of 63 patients(99 eyes)were clinically diagnosed as TAO,and the relevant data of patients undergoing endoscopic orbital decompression were collected. The therapeutic effect of the operation was analyzed at the time node in the course of the disease, and the timing of the operation was discussed.[Results] In 99 eyes of 63 TAO patients,62 patients had compressive optical neuropathy(CON),3 patients had exposure keratitis and 1 patient had simple exposure keratitis.99 eyes of 63 patients with Tao underwent endoscopic orbital decompression. The mean value of postoperative visual changes of 53 eyes whose course of disease was greater than or equal to7 months was 0.19 ± 0.23 at the time node of operation. The mean value of postoperative visual changes of 46 eyes whose course of disease was less than 7 months was 0.28 ± 0.18.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).[Conclusion] For TAO patients who had no effect of conservative treatment and whose course of disease was less than 7 months, the effect of postoperative visual recovery was better than that of TAO patients who had no effect of conservative treatment and whose course of disease was more than or equal to 7 months;... |
