| Background:A meta-analysis were performed to evaluate the functional outcomes at ankle following harvesting of peroneus longus tendon graft. Methods:From the inception to March 2021,Pub Med,Embase, the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,VIP,Wanfang Data,CNKI and Sino Med were searched for studies using peroneus longus tendon autograft.Included in the study through the MINORS evaluation, using Revman 5.4 and trial sequential analysis(TSA)software(http://www.cyu.dk/tsa)to conduct sensitivity analysis, subgroup analysis and trial sequential analysis of the documents that meet the requirements.Meanwhile, taking a clinical case as an example,we observed the practicability of peroneus longus tendon as autograft.Results:12 studies involving 418 patients were included in our meta-analysis.One study with high heterogeneity was excluded, and the remaining 11 studies were meta-analyzed.There was a significant change in American Orthopedic Ankle Association Scoring System(AOFAS)scores after surgery.Compared with preoperation, the postoperative AOFAS decreased by 0.17 points(Weighted Mean Difference,-0.17;95%CI,[-0.33,-0.01],I~2=0).Additionally,TSA indicated that the current available evidence was not reliable enough and that further research was needed. Conclusion:In the current study,AOFAS scores were lowered using PLT,but AOFAS scores were rated excellent in the 90-100 range(out of 100).We believe that the peroneus longus tendon cut smaller impact on the ankle function score,it can be recommended as an autograft for ligament reconstruction. |
