Objective:To observe the clinical effect of rhBMP-2 promoting ossification in the tibia bone transport.Methods:We studied the role of rhBMP-2 in the scale of bone transport 30 patients with bone defects underwent Ilizarov bone transport,all of which were treated by the same team of physicians.Among them,Fifteen patients were implanted with rhBMP-2(1mg)at the osteotomy end as the rhBMP-2 group,and fifteen patients were the control group.After the operation,the patient was instructed to perform rehabilitation exercises for the affected limb,regular outpatient review,and the condition of the callus in the distraction area was observed by X-ray,and High-frequency color dappler ultrasound was used to monitor the blood flow signals and new callus in the internal and surrounding tissues of the distraction zone.The healing time and complications of the patient’s stretch zone were recorded,and the ASAMI function evaluation standard was used to compare the function.Results:Thirty patients were followed up for 8 to 34 months,with an average of 12.35±2.91 months.The callus diameter rate in rhBMP-2 group was higher than that in treatment group in different periods,and there was an interaction between time factor and grouping factor.The bone healing index of the rhBMP-2 group was significantly better than that of the control group,and the difference between the groups was statistically significant[(34.68±8.295)d/cm,(44.97±10.154)d/cm,t=0.034,p=0.005].The blood flow of the treatment group under Doppler ultrasound was better than that of the control group in the early stage of the bone transport There was no statistically signficant difference in complications and functional evaluation between the two groups of patients after treatment.Conclnsion:rhBMP-2 can signficantly promote the regeneration and mineralization of callus during bone transport,It is preliminarily shown that it can enhance the abundance of blood flow signals in the stretch zone and surrounding tissues in the early stage of the bone transport,thereby shortening the treatment time,so it is an effective auxiliary method.
