Objective Based on macro data and CLHLS data, this study established an indicator system for evaluating the ability of the elderly in rural areas of China based on relevant research, and used statistical methods to classify the ability of the elderly. The rural areas of our country are divided into three areas: high security capacity, average security capacity, and low security capacity.Single-factor and multi-factor methods are used to analyze the status quo and influencing factors of rural elderly pension needs in different regions,so as to meet the rural pension needs of different regions with different pension security capabilities, and put forward more targeted suggestions.Methods(1)Based on the relevant data of China Population and Employment Statistical Yearbook and China Statistical Yearbook, according to the indicator system of rural old-age security, and using factor analysis to conduct empirical research, cluster analysis is used to divide China’s 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)into high and General and low three areas(Class Ⅰ,Class Ⅱ,Class Ⅲ)(2)Based on the 2017-2018 Chinese elderly health influencing factors tracking survey database in the Beijing Open Research Data Platform, the single factor analysis method is used to chi-square the rural elderly’s needs for the elderly with demographic indicators, economic status indicators, and healthy behavior indicators.test.The significant indicators of univariate analysis are put into the binary logistic regression model for multi-factor analysis to explore the factors affecting the elderly’s needs for the elderly.Results(1)Through the construction of the indicat or system,11 cities including Zhejiang,Guangdong, and Jiangsu have been included in Class Ⅰ areas, that is,regions with high rural endowment security capabilities, and 7 cities, including Hubei,Hebei, and Jiangxi, have been included in Class Ⅱ areas, that is,rural endowment security capabilities are average. At the regional level,13 cities, including Hainan,Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia, are included in the third category, that is,the regional level with low rural endowment security capabilities.(2)The single factor analysis result shows:(1)In Class Ⅰ area,self-assessment of living conditions, smoking, daily activity ability, sufficient financial resources, wealth of life, number of children, years of education, endowment insurance, age, endowment insurance, spouse or not, endowment insurance, and whether it is regular every year Physical examination is an influencing factor that affects the demand for the elderly.(2)In Class Ⅱ area,self-evaluated health,self-evaluated living conditions, years of education, living style, wealth of life, endowment insurance, gender, age, whether the annual physical examination is sufficient, whether the source of income is sufficient, and whether there is a spouse is the need for the elderly Influencing factors.(3)In Class Ⅲ areas,self-evaluated living conditions, endowment insurance,self-evaluated health level, and regular physical examinations are the influencing factors for the needs of the elderly.(3)According to the results of regression analysis:(1)In Class Ⅰ areas, smoking, daily activity ability, wealth of life, annual regular physical examination, endowment insurance, number of children, sufficient sources of income, age, and self-evaluated living conditions are the influencing factors for the needs of the elderly.(2)In Class Ⅱ areas, living style,self-assessed health level, whether to have pension insurance, gender, whether or not to have regular annual physical examinations, the level of living affluent, and the number of years of education are the influencing factors for the needs of the elderly.(3)In Class Ⅲ areas, pension insurance,self-assessed health level, and whether or not to have regular annual physical examinations are factors that influence the demand for the elderly.Conclusion(1)The current aging of rural areas in our country is deepening, and the demand for the elderly in rural areas is mainly for home visits to doctors and medicines, and the provision of health care knowledge.(2)There are differences in the needs of the elderly in rural areas in different regions.Elderly people in Class Ⅰ areas mainly focus on seeing a doctor and delivering medicine, health care knowledge, handling disputes, and organizing activities.Elderly people in Class Ⅱ areas mainly need medical treatment, medicine delivery, health care knowledge, and dispute resolution needs. The elderly in Class Ⅲ areas have more needs for medical treatment, medicine delivery, health care knowledge, and legal rights protection.(3)Adjust measures to local conditions and implement policies as needed.Class Ⅰ areas increase financial investment and rural pension insurance coverage, and regularly carry out physical examinations for the elderly;Class Ⅱ areas accelerate the construction of rural pension institutions and strengthen the level of pension security, and widely publicize health care knowledge;Class Ⅲ areas strengthen the old-age security capabilities.
