The Expression Pattern Of Kisspeptin In Patients With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome And The Prediction For The Possibility Of Early Pregnancy

Objective: To investigate the menstrual expression pattern of Kisspeptin in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),and try to find the relation between Kisspeptin and early successful pregnancy.Methods: PCOS females who received the ovulation induction using letrozole(LE)in the Reproduction Medicine Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from May 2020 to November2020 were Included.The blood of elbow vein were collected in three time points(menstrual period,the day of h CG rejection and the 5th day after ovulation)for the measurement of the Kisspeptin plasma level by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The early pregnancy outcomes were recorded in each ovulation cycle.Results: 1.Kisspeptin was low in the menstrual period and turned to increase on the day of h CG injection,then it decreased after ovulation.There was no statistical difference among the three stages(P>0.05).2.After the ovulation induction treatment,the concentrations of Kisspeptin in menstrual period decreased(2506.43±828.49 VS 2327.10±688.66ng/ml)in non-pregnant patients,which showed no significant difference(P=0.190),while the concentrations of LH and E2 decreased obviously with statistical differences(P1=0.009,P2=0.010).3.There were 80 PCOS patients were finally included,among whom the pregnancy females occupied the percentage at 32.5%(26/80).Compared with non-pregnant women,pregnant PCOS patients had a higher Kisspeptin level in menstrual period(2293.01±398.73 VS 1633.05±203.80)with a statistical difference(P=0.006).The 95% confidence interval of this Kisspeptin level was 1511.497-3074.523ng/ml.Conclusion: 1.Kisspeptin concentrations varied regularly throughout the whole menstrual cycle in PCOS patients under LE therapy.The increase of Kisspeptin on the day of h CG injection might indicate a potential therapeutic directions for ovulation induction among PCOS patients.2.The treatment of letrozole reduced the menstrual level of Kisspeptin、LH、FSH,suggesting that LE might improve clinical symptoms of the PCOS patients as a result.3.There might be a correlation between the menstrual Kisspeptin levels and early pregnancy.Patients with slightly higher Kisspeptin levels were more likely to get pregnant.
