Background: Both hepatitis B and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)are the diseases with high incidence in the world, especially in China.Recently, there are many more studies intention to the relation of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection and NAFLD.But the results of them are different, there is the large uncertainties in it.Objective:To evaluate whether HBV infection increases the risk of NAFLD and how much it is,to provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of NAFLD.Methods: Key-words such as ‘NAFLD’,’HBV’,and ‘case-control’ were searched from in VIP,Wan Fang,CNKI,CBM,EMbase,Pub Med,Google and Sci-Hub databases between Jan.2012 and Jun.2018.The studies about the relationship between HBV infection and risk of NAFLD were collected. After two students’ checking and selecting with all methods,we designated literature and collated the data of it at last.Meta-analysis method was used to obtain a comprehensive and quantitative assessment of the influence from HBV infection to the risk of NAFLD.Results: The 5literatures,comprising 8,466 HBV-infected patients and 113,872 uninfected controls, were enrolled in the study. After making a Synthesis of research data,it suggested that the risk of NAFLD was significantly lower in HBV-infected patients than in uninfected controls(summary odds ratio[OR]=0.85;confidence interval [CI]=0.61-1.17).Conclusion: The risk of NAFLD will reduce after people infect HBV,especially in the group of“high ALT”,“BMI≥25”,“no IR”,“no hypertension”,“<forty years old”,and“man”.
