| Objective1.To investigate the quality of life in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).2.To Analyze the influencing factors of quality of life among SLE patients.3.To identify the relationship between social support, family support, life events,post-traumatic growth meaning in life and quality of life.Methods1.Self-made general information questionnaire,SLE disease activity index 2000(SLEDAI-2000),Lupus QOL-China,Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Perceived Social Support from Family Scale,Life Events Scale(LES),Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire(MLQ)were used.An on-the-spot questionnaire survey was conducted among outpatients and inpatients of Department of Rheumatology and Nephrology in Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital from October 2019 to February 2021.2.Frequency,percentage,mean ± standard deviation were used for statistical description. Two independent samples t-test,analysis of variance were used to compare whether there were statistical differences in quality of life, social support, family support,post-traumatic growth, sense of life meaning and life event experience among SLE patients with different demographic and disease characteristics.Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between quality of life and social support, family support, life events,post-traumatic growth and sense of life meaning in patients with SLE.Taking the scores of quality of life as dependent variables and the results of statistical differences in t-test,analysis of variance and correlation analysis as independent variables, multiple linear regression analysis was used to further confirm the influence of various factors on the quality of life of patients with SLE.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Results1.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of Lupus QOL-China was 0.957,and the range of Cronbach’s α coefficient of each subscale was 0.803-0.951.2.A total of 238 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus were included in this study, with a male-to-female 1:8.92,the average age was(34.28 ± 9.77)years.And the disease activity score showed that 57.1%was inactive.Mild, moderate and severe disease activities were 19.7%,10.5% and 12.6%,respectively.3.The score of quality of life of SLE patients was(96.12 ± 27.50).the average scores of each dimension were compared between dimensions, which were body image, intimate relationship, emotional health, pain, physical health, fatigue, social planning and burden to others from high to low.The scores of social support, family support, sense of life meaning and post-traumatic growth of SLE patients were(38.70 ± 7.01),(8.00 ±1.83),(45.62 ± 9.29)and(45.91 ± 24.45)respectively.4.The results of t-test and analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences in the scores of quality of life among patients with different gender, occupation, occupational status, source of patients, causes of treatment, sleep quality and disease activity(P<0.05).5.Multivariate stratified regression analysis showed that the quality of life’s factors of patients with SLE were gender, causes of treatment, sleep quality, total score of life events and family support, explaining 36.4% of the total variation of the equation.6.The results of correlation analysis showed that social support, family support and meaning in life were positively correlated with quality of life in patients with SLE(r=0.145,r=0.109,r=0.247,P<0.05).Life events were negatively correlated with quality of life(r=-0.206,P<0.01).The correlation was not significant between post-traumatic growth and quality of life(P>0.05).Conclusion1.Lupus QOL-China has good internal consistency and can be widely used in SLE population.2.The quality of life of patients with SLE is in the upper-middle level, and gender, causes of treatment, sleep quality, total score of life events and family support are factors affecting the quality of life of patients with SLE.3.Social support, family support and meaning in life of SLE patients were positively correlated with QOL.Life events were negatively correlated with QOL.The purpose of this study was to provide theoretical basis for clinical doctors and nurses to improve patients’ quality of life from the aspects of enhancing patients’ perception and utilization of social and family support, actively dealing with life events to reduce negative effects and improving the level of sense of life meaning. |
